The consultant was extremely caring, empathetic and we felt listened to and heard. Feel very confident that my care is in safe hands and that a comprehensive plan is in place. Very reassured and supported. Thank you

Review titled Extremely positive birthing experience
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Imogen Carter - Posted on 23 October 2024
On Saturday 19th October 2024 I gave birth to my baby boy at Royal Cornwall Hospital Treliske. Due to the events of my labour I experienced the full package from birthing centre, delivery ward, theatre and finally maternity ward. Each and every member of staff that took part in mine and my newborn baby’s care was a superstar. We felt fully supported during difficult decisions and all of the information we needed to have our care managed in our specific way was met. I’m a healthy person so have not had much experience with operating theatres, nurses or doctors so having my emergency c-section was my first encounter with professionals like these. What superheroes these people are. Huge thank you to my anaesthetist who explained what was happening during the whole procedure and kept me calm and informed. I am so thankful the nhs exists and the passionate midwives and maternity team are here for our care. It makes a special event in life all the more special because they deliver an incredible service. I wish I could inform each and every one of the team who looked after my family how appreciated they truly are.

Review titled Brilliant care of my husband
Rated 4 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 03 October 2024
My husband who is never unwell, suddenly became very unwell recently. We were very impressed with how quickly he received an appointment for an urgent scan. He was seen on time and well looked after. Thankfully we had the NHS app and was able to view upcoming hospital appointments however the letter was sent on the 23rd, and didn’t arrive until 2nd October. The scan itself was on the 27th. It concerns me that the Royal Mail are not delivering appointment letters as quickly as they should. We live within 2 miles of the hospital and the local sorting office so very concerned about missing future letters.

A week ago I had a traumatic accident and broke 4 ribs. One week later I am at home and mobile having received amazing treatment and care from so many wonderful staff. From the kind and efficient ambulance crew through a&e, esu, the outstanding trauma team and the caring and wonderful staff on Pendennis Ward I can’t thank you enough.

Review titled Exemplary care
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Jackie Pomeroy - Posted on 19 August 2024
This place is too small to convey my gratitude to everyone at the hospital. My recent surgery was made easier by the very high standard of care received in the enhanced post operative care unit and the Planned care , Unit Every member of staff is dedicated to their job and does it to a very high standard I cannot praise them enough. I’m sure my recovery is going to be much quicker due to the care I had, even the food contrary to popular opinion was of a very high standard and a great selection. Pain management was excellent and the fact that I only ever had to buzz once for the nurse while I was there testifies to the very high level of care nothing was too much trouble for anyone whether it was the surgeon or the tea lady. I never once felt sad or lonely or upset while I was there my recovery was the first thing that they considered my dignity was preserved and we even had a few laughs. Cleanliness on the wards and the bathrooms was excellent. Nothing too much trouble for anyone even when I needed a pen everyone had a smile on their face which made life much more pleasant. I’m very grateful to the NHS and Treliske hospital in particular.
