A week ago I had a traumatic accident and broke 4 ribs. One week later I am at home and mobile having received amazing treatment and care from so many wonderful staff. From the kind and efficient ambulance crew through a&e, esu, the outstanding trauma team and the caring and wonderful staff on Pendennis Ward I can’t thank you enough.

  4. Review titled Exemplary care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

This place is too small to convey my gratitude to everyone at the hospital. My recent surgery was made easier by the very high standard of care received in the enhanced post operative care unit and the Planned care , Unit Every member of staff is dedicated to their job and does it to a very high standard I cannot praise them enough. I’m sure my recovery is going to be much quicker due to the care I had, even the food contrary to popular opinion was of a very high standard and a great selection. Pain management was excellent and the fact that I only ever had to buzz once for the nurse while I was there testifies to the very high level of care nothing was too much trouble for anyone whether it was the surgeon or the tea lady. I never once felt sad or lonely or upset while I was there my recovery was the first thing that they considered my dignity was preserved and we even had a few laughs. Cleanliness on the wards and the bathrooms was excellent. Nothing too much trouble for anyone even when I needed a pen everyone had a smile on their face which made life much more pleasant. I’m very grateful to the NHS and Treliske hospital in particular.

  6. Review titled Planned care unit

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Just got out from emergency appendicitis operation. I was put into planned care unit for my recovery. I was fortunate to have a lovely private room to recover. All staff were absolutely fantastic and really friendly. The gentleman that looked after me at night and making me 4am hot chocolates really cheered me up too. Honestly felt more like a guest in a fancy hotel! All very good at there job and really go the extra mile. The myth about hospital food is also false, whilst I didn't eat much during my stay the food I did try was very tasty and a nice selection. They were always checking in making sure I had pain meds, had towels and even spare pyjamas. Just would like to thank all staff for looking after me. Real credit to the NHS to have staff like that.

  7. Review titled Thank you

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I had a heart attack and I received just the best attention from all the medical team, the ambulance team were wonderful, professional and quick to respond, calming and ensuring I knew what was happening every step of the way so a huge thank you to them.I just can’t thank the surgeons enough who were waiting for me when I arrived at the hospital, they were explaining to me what was happening and after the procedure they went through everything with my husband to ensure he fully understood what they had done . Then onto the ward staff who were all wonderful, friendly, caring and ensuring that I understood everything they were doing. So a a very big thank you to all involved in saving my life, they couldn’t have done more and myself and all my family can not recommend this hospital and their staff enough.

  8. Review titled Professional kind and efficient

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I was taken in with Atrial Fib 24.7.24. Due to chest discomfort I was seen quickly. I was given an ECG and several relevant tests- all staff were cheerful, empathetic and very efficient instilling confidence in a very frightened patient at a time when they had a very full emergency department. I was given triaged effectively and sent to the “Minors Unit”. There the staff were efficient and empathetic responding promptly to all questions no matter how busy they were- they made sure I had enough to eat and drink and was warm and comfortable. They were also very kind to my daughter who accompanied me. I was discharged after treatment with medication and sound information and advice- thank you to all in the department.

This was for paediatric consultation for 3 of my sons on the was absolutely outstanding, her ability to make the patients feel at ease and comfortable whilst explaining thoroughly about the condition or resent concerns was outstanding, her bedside manor is second to none. In all my years of bringing my children in she would stand in high regard to the top. The procedure went without a hitch as I would expect. But I was especially impressed with the care and compassion showed by the staff sheperding me through the waiting and post-op periods.
