  2. Review titled Outpatient visit for the removal of intrauterine coil

    by microscopiumtk36 - Posted on 17 November 2022

This was the fourth occasion that someone had tried to remove the intrauterine coil which had been fitted 12 years ago. The other experiences had been extremely painful and uncomfortable. This took approx 10 minute and I had no pain or discomfort at all. I cannot praise the nurses highly enough and wish to thank them for their cheerful and positive manner and their professionalism.

Dear microscopiumtk36, Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such lovely feedback for our gynaecology team. I am very glad to read that you had a positive experience, especially with a history of previous very painful experiences, and that the nurses were so cheerful, positive and professional. Our teams work hard to try and minimise any worry or anxiety for their patients, and to make them feel as comfortable as possible during such an invasive procedure, and they very much appreciate all feedback. I will ensure that your kind words are shared with our Gynaecology Clinic teams. Thank you again.

The care from the Emergency Department at RCHT was fantastic. My daughter was very anxious about a procedure that was needed, but the nurse and doctors were quick to respond, caring and very reassuring. Thank you.

  4. Review titled My brother on the Phoenix ward

    by romeoqb48 - Posted on 29 November 2022

My brother was recently on the Phoenix ward at the Royal Cornwall hospital following a severe stroke. Sadly he passed away last Monday. I just wanted to say how impressed we were with the care he received from the whole medical team and of how grateful and appreciative we were to be updated on an ongoing basis. The whole team were amazing, they battled to keep him alive but he was just too sick. In the end he chose to slip away surrounded by his beloved children. I will be forever grateful for the dignity he was treated with especially at the end and how the staff managed to facilitate such a peaceful departure for him from this world into the next. They are an extremely busy ward and they deserve every accolade for all their hard work and devotion to their patients.

  6. Review titled Hysteroscopy experience

    by Gardener68 - Posted on 25 November 2022

I had to have a hysteroscopy yesterday due to a recent post menopausal bleed. I was quite anxious about it but the team were so kind and professional that they made the whole thing a positive experience. I was really reassured and not embarrassed at all. I cannot thank everyone enough for their care and patience.

  7. Review titled CFS/ME Service

by Random - Posted on 14 November 2022

The website still describes a NICE 2007 Guideline approach now prohibited by NICE, following review of all the scientific evidence as harmful. It describes this review process in a 2000 page document, it wasnt exactly superficial. It is giving a ‘list as dangerous’ reputation to the clinic which might actually be practicing safe medical care to patients with ME/CFS. It even has the name of the condition wrong, perpetuating endless confusion in documentation between ‘Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS)’ and ‘chronic fatigue’ which is something completely different, a symptom of other conditions, not the complex, biomedical, multisystem disease, Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME) You really need to get your act together, you cannot rely on patients’ networks to spread up to date information by word of mouth? This is 2022 not the 1960s.
