  1. Review titled Unbelievable

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Graham Petty - Posted on 14 September 2024

From arrival to departure in the A&E Dept I felt looked after and cared for. No patient is ever at A&E for happy reasons, but all the staff, at every stage of my progress through, took away my concerns and really made me feel cared for. I could not exaggerate the extremely high level of care and attention I have been given.Amonst the tall it seems inadequate to refer to the tallest, but the young doctor who attended to me wwas outstanding.

  2. Review titled Supportive and Reassuring

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Grace - Posted on 09 September 2024

I was greeted by such friendly reception staff, who were so helpful. The triage process was quick and supportive. I was then treated by a member of staff who went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable whilst taking bloods etc. They were so friendly and reassuring and ensured that they were thorough in their treatment. I feel like it's really important to share, what a positive impact the team in A&E had for me as a nervous patient.

  4. Review titled Wonderful treatment

Rated 5 stars out of 5

    by D Cole - Posted on 15 August 2024

We were seen very quickly and looked after with great care as both myself and my wife were very shaken after my accident. I was thoroughly checked over and treatment was explained carefully, taking my hearing loss into account. I was cleaned up, patched up, and sent back home within 2 hours, with lots of instructions about how to care for my injury. I can’t thank the staff enough. They were all brilliant!

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by William Mead - Posted on 20 July 2024

The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. I was able to see the doctor fairly quickly, and shortly after, I received an X-ray for my injury. The practice is also very clean and well-maintained.

  6. Review titled Outstanding care from arrival to discharge

Rated 5 stars out of 5

    by Kerry W - Posted on 14 July 2024

I recently spent 5 nights at the RHCH and the care I received from arriving in A&E until discharge was nothing short of outstanding. I was greeted by a professional and compassionate team who quickly assessed my condition and did everything they could to make me more comfortable. Once admitted to Victoria Ward the nursing staff were exceptional. They were attentive and efficient and their dedication to patient care was evident throughout my stay. Both the nurses and HCAs were truly wonderful. The doctors took time to listen and then explain each step of my care and subsequent treatment, making be aware of any potential delays in my treatment honestly. In what could have been a truly horrible few days all the staff I came across did everything they could to make my stay more comfortable and for that I am extremely grateful.

  7. Review titled Day surgery

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Barry West - Posted on 05 June 2024

All staff involved from initial assessment to pre operation care, anesthesia, operation and post care were all extremely professional and very caring. I felt very well looked after and all communication was clear and in a very humane way, as in even with a little humour. Massive shout out to the NHS in times where they come under extreme stress, and in a lot of cases, totally unacceptable abuse.

  8. Review titled Attentive Staff

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 11 June 2024

From the smiling receptionist, to the caring nurses and trainees to the consultants and radiologists my experience was speedy, cheery, with care, thorough and considered by all staff. One of the lovely staff members was going off shift and came by to say goodbye. I felt that my condition was taken very seriously and the top care and opinions/results were provided. There were other people waiting longer than me, but they were also cheery and well attended to.

4 skin procedures to remove sun damage and check for possible cancer. Very caring procedure and easily answered any questions I had. Painless during and more importantly over the next 24 hours.

  10. Review titled A&E Excellent service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Beryl - Posted on 03 July 2024

I was seen very promptly on arrival at A&E with a broken wrist. The ENP explained what would happen with regards to x-rays, seeing consultant, manipulating bone back into place and aftercare. He remained with me throughout my stay. A very caring and reassuring man giving me confidence. The Orthopaedic Consultant explained how he was going to manipulate the bone back into place. He tried twice each time taking care and constantly asking how the pain was. I felt reassured that I was getting the best care. I can't thank these two men enough for their care, attention and professionalism.
