Had a knee operation in May, stayed on ward 4 and have to say all the staff were fantastic. They were very caring and friendly, put me at ease. Everyone within the hospital was as very friendly and helpful as well!

  3. Review titled Excellent Professional Care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I recently attended the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital for an issue that required spinal surgery and I have to say I had an outstanding experience in their care . I was called in at short notice due to a cancellation and from my initial consultation meetings with the Spinal team through to my Pre-Operative assessment , I was treated extremely professionally , everything being explained in detail and all staff very courteous with me took me though the process and explained all risks etc . On admission day I was put into in Ward 1 , and throughout my time there ( 3 days in all ) I was looked after with care and consideration and in particular ,the day staff and the night team all carried out their tasks with a smile , good humour but mostly I felt with extreme professionalism - nothing was too much trouble and their attention to detail was just excellent . Finally , I have to say a heartfelt 'thank you ' to the Consultant , who, although I am still recovering from the operation , it has made a difference already to my day to day life as I am finding improving movement in my foot /ankle /leg every day , so I have no doubt that what he has done will significantly improve my quality of life.

Attended ROH outpatients today. I found everyone that I dealt with within this department to be helpful, pleasant & nothing was too much trouble. I must say a big thank you to the consultant who was a charming gentleman & his demeanor really put me at ease. I was very impressed with the ROH. Well done.

I went to ROH for an ACL reconstruction and can't thank them enough. All staff were so nice, attentive, quick and knowledgable. It was an 8 hour round trip for my surgery but they accommodated to all my needs. Thankyou to all the staff, can't praise them highly enough.
