Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 01 March 2024
Well looked after in an emergency situation that went missed by another Trust , it was great to have the Preston team find and resolve my Urology issue professionally. The team have to be the best in our area, which sadly may mean they may be the busiest but be assure the attention to details, patient communication and care is extemporary

Review titled Best care possible
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Yvonne Potter - Posted on 27 March 2024
At the beginning of February I fell and broke my hip, I was taken to Preston Royal Infirmary , from the moment I arrived I received the best care and attention possible. After being examined I was taken to Major Trauma ward. The nurses and doctors were exceptionally caring and my operation was explained in great detail. After the operation the care and physio were excellent. I spent 12 days there. Thank you for taking such good care of me. I’m a 79 yr old lady.

Review titled Surgical assessment unit ward 4 royal Preston hospital
Rated 4 stars out of 5

My partner was referred to the SAU at Royal Preston via Chorley Urgent Care follow an infection to an injury. I cannot speak highly enough of the team on the ward. Despite being extremely busy they attended to my partner with efficiency and more importantly care and kindness. The team work and organisation was clear to see. I hope the trust recognises what a brilliant team they have on the SAU and all the hard work they put in. Can’t thank them enough.

Review titled Great Service - Deserves Credit
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Bob - Posted on 29 January 2024
The National Health Service comes in for much negative criticism - so I'm pleased to give some very positive feedback. I visited Ward 21 on 28 Jan - the whole service from first contact, the discussion with the consultant, the subsequent scan - this was faultless, and a credit to both hospital and the National Health Service. It is a pity I cannot name names on this review - but maybe the people will know who they are if they see this review.

Review titled Efficient and friendly xray department
Rated 4 stars out of 5
by JJM - Posted on 24 December 2023
Visited xray for an Ultrasound Scan of my abdomen. Seen on time and soon put at my ease. I had fasted for 4 hours before the event. The Specialist Doctor and her Assistant completed the scan easily and a verbal report said things were ok. Will look forward to the report!

Review titled Excellent, cannot fault
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Carol Walker - Posted on 27 December 2023
I had my annual appointment for my Meniere's today and cannot fault the ENT department at Preston at all. The consultant saw me immediately I arrived, I was then sent for a hearing test and barely had time to sit down before I was called through, and ditto when I returned to see the consultant after my test. From reception staff through to the consultant everyone was polite, friendly and ultra efficient, and this is the second year on the trot that it has been so. I absolutely cannot fault the department at all, they were excellent from start to finish, so much so that I had to leave this review I was so impressed.

Now,on the festive time of the year, with New Year round the corner, I would like to take the opportunity to say a big thanks to the whole Dialysis team from Preston hospital. I have dialysed at Preston unit for almost two years. During this time I have been treated with respect and given every assistance and advice necessary. In addition the nursing staff create a happy environment which makes the treatment more acceptable. Words cannot express how grateful I'm to all team members who looks after me during this year and with their professionalism provides me the best care and treatment that I can receive. Thank you to everyone. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

I have had 2 visits to the department in swift succession, and all the staff have been wonderful, before the scan and during the scan. They are all very knowledgeable and take time to explain the processes, which really helps when the process is new to the patient. Thank you.
