  1. Review titled Swift and caring

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 24 March 2025

I'd like to say a big thank you to various departments at the Royal Surrey in Guildford. My wife is going through chemotherapy and needed to taken in due to high temp / fever etc. The Emergency Department were fast and responsive and Cardiology thorough and followed up. It wasn't as quick and seamless as we would all have liked but we had very caring staff and clear communication. Dr from Cardiology stands out, as does the Dr on ED. These people, and many more, worked hard and diligently to ensure my wife was cared for. Thank you

The care of my daughter when admitted to A&E cannot be faulted. The staff were kind, patient and attentive in spite of difficulties find a bed and a difficult night on the ward. They kept us well informed and we felt able to ask questions even though they were busy. A credit to the hospital

  3. Review titled Amazing staff - treated with kindness and care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Katie Shedden - Posted on 28 March 2025

I recently had a small procedure undertaken in the Short Stay Surgical Unit. From arrival to discharge, I was treated with kindness and care. Being on my own through the process was quite daunting but every staff member I encountered was positive and helped make the whole experience bearable. I would like to pass on my thanks and gratitude to the Gynaecology team, and the teams working within the Short Stay Surgical Unit, Theatres and Anaesthetics.

  5. Review titled Remarkable Practice. So caring.

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Emily Broad - Posted on 04 April 2025

I am astounded by how well I have been taken care of by the Early Pregnancy Assessment Unit at Royal Surrey. Every person we have come into contact with (can't remember everyone's names, sorry) has been so friendly and caring. They all have a lovely demeanor that instantly puts you at ease, even if you're going through turmoil. I sadly had a missed miscarriage, and they were so informative, caring, and helpful. They never made us feel like an inconvenience whenever we contacted them. It has honestly made the whole ordeal feel at least a little better, by getting the right information on how to manage the physical and emotional elements, as well as being given free treatment to help with the pregnancy loss. I can't thank all the staff and nurses there enough. I am so grateful for your continued support and your unwavering dedication that you provide to all of us. You are amazing!

  6. Review titled Kindness in care

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Alan Barrett - Posted on 12 March 2025

I recently spent 4 days in Albury Ward (Royal Surrey) for a respiratory condition. I was not seriously ill but received every support I could have wanted. Far more important was the kindness and patience that I witnessed being offered to other patients who were worse off than me, some of whom frankly I would have lost my patience with, yet the ward staff were endlessly patient and considerate. Whilst the NHS as an entity may pick up criticism from time to time, the grass roots (based on my experience) are still a model of care.

  7. Review titled Great communication by FY1

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Hugh Logan Ellis - Posted on 16 February 2025

I just want to commend the F1 on call for acute medicine/ geriatrics tonight 16th February (I can't leave a name in this review but her first name begins with H) and the set up which made it so easy to call her. She communicated very well, knew all the details of my grandfather's presentation, and was exemplary. Please pass this onto her so she can use it in her portfolio. Thank you

  9. Review titled Positive Care

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Paige Baker - Posted on 17 February 2025

Lady who works on maternity department for vaccinations. Is very gentle, thorough and very chatty. Her care is beyond lovely to see and I have had vaccinations off her multiple times and her presence is always the same. When attending with my son, she speaks to him, talks to me about the vaccinations and shows me the box, continuously talks to make you feel comfortable in the room. It 100% rare to see so kind and courageous individuals like her around and truly believe it should be appreciated.

  10. Review titled Amazing staff

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 15 February 2025

I had to attend A&E this morning and felt compelled to write a review on the most incredible staff. A&E is never a place you want to find yourself, but this morning, I didn’t have a choice as I was so unwell. The expected wait time said 3-4 hours on screen but I was seen within less than 15 mins for triage. I was immediately sent for various tests and the entire time the staff were so polite, reassuring and professional. I was seen and able to go back home within 3 hours in total, and I’m so grateful to the staff for looking after me so well.
