  1. Review titled 5 Star Care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Marie Carr - Posted on 05 November 2024

From reception at A&E to A&E to AMU to Clandon Ward. I can't fault my care. Totally professional physician diagnosis at each stage. Nursing support at each location was offered with attention to detail, care and compassion. The intra department coordination between the Medical and Hematology teams was seamless and consistent in delivery. It is very difficult to identify any individual as everyone was focused on caring for me, but I would like to recognize the Sister on "days" and her team at Clandon for exception care, advice and support; managing and guiding a staff on a ward of thirty very sick people is testament to her leadership. I hope that each team will be recognized for exceptional compassion and care at each stage of my treatment. I am home after a tough time but with a successful outcome. We are blessed to have such a well run and organized hospital. Thank you so much.

  2. Review titled Wonderful Team

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Teresa - Posted on 16 November 2024

Was treated amazingly well by all staff. However the surgical team were utterly amazing at looking after me. Took my mind off the procedure, treated me with empathy and humility. Turned a not nice experience into a bit of a giggle. All were wonderful I want to say thank you for your time given to me.

  3. Review titled Caring and excellent service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Mark Cosier - Posted on 19 November 2024

Entered A&E in real pain. Dealt with quickly and taken into majors. Although it took a little time for a doctor to see me. Bloods taken, CT scan carried out. Moved into a ward straight away, with every pain killer provided, which really helped. Kidney stone and infection diagnosis. I could not have been looked after better, from the A&E to the Patient lounge. Thank you to all of you who looked after me. Very much appreciated. I really experienced the very best of what the NHS can provide for their patients.

  4. Review titled Care in ICU

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Gemma Milne - Posted on 09 October 2024

I want to thank the amazing team in the ICU department for caring for me after I was placed on a ventilator on 3/10/2024 I was treated with dignity and respect the whole time. I am so grateful for you all for looking after me and the day that I got sent out of ICU I even had a line of staff to say goodbye to me. Thank you for looking after my partner and putting my dad's mind at ease the multiple times he called to check on me. I know how hard you all work and I appreciate everything every member of staff did to help me. I will be forever grateful that I woke up from the ventilator thanks to everyones care and didn't leave my family, partner, friends and cat behind.

  5. Review titled Fantastic

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Sophie Capsey - Posted on 06 October 2024

Our daughter was sent to aande by our nhs dermatologist as an emergency as she had erythoderma. We received amazing care although the service was busy. All the staff were superb and made sure she was kept pain free and managed to find her a bed in aeu. Then she was transferred to Guildford Ward where dr rhymes with tamini and his colleagues really looked after her. She was allowed home last Friday with lots of medicine with a follow up appointment booked for two weeks time. Every nurse, doctor, pharmacist, hco, food provider and cleaner were so lovely especially consultant rhymes with tamini. Thank you very much.

  6. Review titled Superb experience

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Stephen Parish - Posted on 02 October 2024

After eating some nuts yesterday I experienced a terrifying reaction and fortunately my son was around to dial 999. ( I doubt that I would have been able to). The ambulance arrived within minutes during which time the telephone operator provided advice and reassurance. The paramedics were fantastic providing calmness and further reassurance before taking me to the hospital in Guildford. The treatment that I received from the A and E staff there from the junior orderly to the senior medical staff was a breathtaking experience, they were all so professional and competent and my recovery was quick and reassuring. I am so grateful to them all for providing such a service from the initial call to the discharge a few hours later. I hope I made my thanks clear to them all but I don’t have any of their names and it is almost frustrating that I can not thank them all again publicly for providing a service which in my view could not have been bettered and which they should all be proud of and we , as a country, should also be proud of and very grateful for. Thank you to our wonderful National Health Service. Stephen Parish, Cobham

  7. Review titled Outstanding endoscopy unit

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Christy - Posted on 04 October 2024

I’ve visited the endoscopy unit several times and each time I’m always impressed with the staff, their timekeeping and communication. During my last visit, I was seen in good time, the doctor, anaesthetist and nurses were simply outstanding, really putting me at ease and taking time to address a problem with my veins. All in all, I’m very happy with the experience and the department are a really gem.

I had a minor accident to my leg which needed 12 stitches. The staff were amazing and in particular the Bangladeshi doctor who was amazing and I felt so confident and comfortable with him. He was so polite and talked me through all that he was doing which was very reassuring.

  9. Review titled Incredible team

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Beccy Keeling - Posted on 15 October 2024

I had knee surgery this month, as a 25 year old female having knee surgery I was very apprehensive, this was all eased by the staff at Royal Surrey Hospital - who were nothing short of incredible. From the MsK team, the surgeon, the physiotherapist who fit my leg brace, the anaesthetists, all of the staff on the short stay surgery unit (special shout out to a few of the nurses on this ward - you are truly amazing.) They made me feel incredibly comfortable, looked after and not just with myself. Overhearing the compassion they maintained all day, for all patients was heart warming to witness. None of the staff mentioned get enough credit for their tireless work and you should all be so immensely proud of yourselves. Thank you so much for everything you have done during this journey of mine!

  10. Review titled Thank you for everything

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Gemma Milne - Posted on 09 October 2024

I just want to send a review to the liver and gastro ward (milbridge) who I have had the pleasure of being cared for at after coming out of intensive care The whole team are incredible, so caring and attentive to each individual patient. While I was there, two different patients were causing a lot of trouble by being aggressive, hostile and overly demanding to the nurses, HCA's, food people, tea ladies and doctors. I watched them put up with so much disrespect and abuse just for trying to help people. It saddened me greatly as everyone was rushed off there feet and doing their absolute best. Every member of staff was amazing and attentive I just want to make sure everyone knows that they are appreciated Even though some patients can make them feel worthless. I can't thank every member of the teams that I got to meet enough. You are all fantastic and I hope every member of staff knows that they are so good at their jobs and to appreciate the little things because I can promise you I am so grateful to everything that was done for me. I just wish all patients could see how hard you all work and how fantastic everyone is. So once again I thank everyone who looked after me right up until discharge today.
