  1. Review titled Great A&E experience

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Emma - Posted on 31 March 2023

Visited A&E with our young child. Very impressed by the service we received and made the while experience as stressful as possible. Really liked having a separate children's waiting area with toys. This was great for keeping our child entertained and quiet while we waited. All the medical staff we saw were really friendly, professional, and great with our child. One nurse even blew some bubbled to help entertain her while having her assessment done. Finally, we were so impressed with the wait time. We were expecting 4+ hour wait, but we were in and out in an hour - amazing! Thank you so much for your great service.

As a family we wish to say thanks to all the nursing, rehab and medical team on the stroke ward for all the care and support they gave to our 90 year old relative following a stroke. He was transferred to South Bristol Community Hospital before making a full recovery and is now home.

  3. Review titled Fantastic care

I had the mishap of being a patient at your short stay unit, I would like to say the level of care shown was second to none. They got me back on my feet within 12 hours. And back home. Can’t thank them enough.

My sincere thanks to a&e and mar for their untold kindness and help at my attendance at ruh. Efficient doctors and staff with explanatory details putting patients at their ease, despite A&E having every seat in the waiting room filled. Thank you all once again you are amazing.

  5. Review titled Parrry Ward

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by John Hellier - Posted on 30 March 2023

I was in hospital via accident and emergency for an invasive infection which resulted in multiple cellulitis and also blood other issues that cropped up as a result of the infection. I ended up in Parry Ward after spending a little time in the daycare wards by a and e I was in from the 24th of February 2022 and then released three weeks later.. Just a little message here about how friendly, supportive and wonderful. Parry Ward was very friendly and supportive and I was extremely impressed with the quality of the nursing and medical staff, doctors and ancillary staff. I was able to build over three weeks, friendly relationships with other patients and staff members. In fact to the extent in some respects, it was actually difficult to leave, even though I wanted to leave if you see my point Whilst the experience of being ill wasn’t great and unable to me to get a mot in a safe environment. The only negative aspect is completely my own issue about the nights for very long and that’s because of how I like to sleep and manage my time normally, but very impressed with the quality of medical care and there was always somebody there if you needed to talk something through. Thank you very much. I was even an advocate for the food and encouraged other people to enjoy it but that’s just my noisy personality ! the food was great once you had mastered the system thank you

  6. Review titled Unbelievable

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 24 February 2023

We went to A&E with our 4 month old daughter after having some observations for a head injury at a Minor Injuries unit. The A&E did the same observations in triage and we waited 3 hours to not have any other observations done, nothing more was checked on my daughter. It was more important for them to ask us to strip her down so they could check for other injuries and ask if we were known to social services. This has really put me off going to this A&E purely for the fact nothing was checked for her head and we were just handed a leaflet of things to look out for in the next few days.

  7. Review titled Thanks to everyone in cardiology

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 10 March 2023

I had a pacemaker fitted a few weeks ago, and I would like to thank all the staff - nurses, reception, theatre staff, surgeon, x-ray - for their first class professionalism throughout the day. The whole experience could not be called enjoyable, of course, but the staff made it feel as pleasant as it could possibly have been. A good day (and the sandwic hes were excellent!).

  8. Review titled Amazing service in Childrens a&e

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 05 February 2023

We went to the children's a&e this morning. We was seen by the triage nurse quite soon after arriving. Then we was seen by the lead nurse who diagnosed an ear infection and went and got the antibiotics straight away. From start to finish all staff was smiling, caring and listening. The waiting room was full of books and toys to keep the children happy. The service was amazing. Thank you so much again.

Cardio angiogram carried out 2 months ago, reported on for letter to be typed within a couple of days, but still no result sent. Phone calls made to secretary who says she has an 8 week back log. Meanwhile, suffering a huge amount of stress. Is my heart ok or not?
