  1. Review titled Made to feel awful

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 16 December 2022

I went to the walk-in centre due to an infection the nurse made me feel awful and like i was wasting her time from the minute I walked in the door, she was not welcoming at all and came across extremely rude. I felt that uncomfortable that I would not let her look at me and left to seek medical attention elsewhere. I felt very unwell and was clearly distressed my wound was oozing puss poss op 4 weeks previously. I was in pain and generally unwell it needed looking at but I didn’t want her near me due to how she had made me feel.

Arrived this morning, unfortunately without an appointment, but I was seen and xrayed within 15min. Thank you for your very prompt response. Whenever I have needed the services of the walk in clinic everyone has always been friendly and prompt. Thank you very much.

  3. Review titled If you’re offering a service then offer it

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 01 December 2022

Attended with my baby after it was completely Impossible to obtain an appointment at my drs. My baby had been diagnosed with bronchiolitis but had deteriorated. The Triage lady was completely unprofessional and rude. She Belittled me in the waiting area in front of a waiting room full of people asking why I had left it until then. I Was made to feel rushed and she was telling me and others how she was finishing in 20 minutes and to hurry up despite me attending the practice at 7pm when it closes at 8pm. I was made to feel like i was an inconvenience to her even though she was being paid to do a job and offer a service. She made a point of recommending to me that I attend earlier in the day in future despite me informing her that my babies symptoms had only just worsened. I’m sure other feedback on this lady will be similar. The nurse I saw for my own chest infection and the dr my baby saw offered an impeccable service and should be recognised for their kind and caring approach to their patients.

  4. Review titled Appalling experience

Rated 2 stars out of 5

My 91 yr old husband who has Parkinson's and is very hard of hearing needed to be seen due to a nasty wound on his shin, received from a fall, a few weeks back. This injury had got infected and was not smelling very good. He was seen by a triage nurse whose only concern was to see if he was still alive and take his temperature! She did not remove the covering to the wound to see what the problem was before sending him back to the waiting room. When asked how they could triage without looking at the problem he was told that was not their job. As it seemed nobody was going to treat this wound he left . I think it is appalling that an elderly person is treated in this casual haphazard way. Hopefully we have now managed to get an appointment at our GP tomorrow with a nurse. The triage nurse should be ashamed of her behaviour to an elderly patient. All she seemed to be concerned about was telling him about the rules and regulations and no concern for his wound all fall! It's disgusting behaviour
