Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Andrew Edward Lyon - Posted on 02 June 2023

I was a day case and overnight admission to ward b1. The staff showed their professional care, compassion and general friendliness throughout. I have mo complaints only praise and fond memories from the way I and other patients in my ward were treated. God Bless you all.

  2. Review titled Excellent practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Daniel Mayer - Posted on 21 May 2023

I was transferred from my local hospital to Russells hall for long awaited surgery, resulting in some nervousness. All the staff were very informative and helped me feel really calm about the procedure. The theatre team made me feel extremely comfortable and the after care team made sure the recovery was made clear.

  3. Review titled Great Department

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Brian Perks - Posted on 26 May 2023

Recently had surgery in Orthopedics Department, where the whole team were excellent in every way. Staff at all levels were pleasant and courteous at all times. The wards and all rooms and facilities spotlessly clean. Surgical team brilliant , and looked like a proper team. A credit to the NHS, and Russells Hall in particular. If you are going here you are in safe hands indeed. Thanks everyone

  6. Review titled Unfair system

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 10 April 2023

Visited RHH at 7am with my daughter due to severe pain in her abdomen. Triaged quickly then sat to wait. After a 3 hour wait it appeared that people who had come in after us were taking priority. Went to ask at desk how many were now in front of us to be told she couldn’t say. It was obvious due to no temperature and normal blood pressure she was constantly being pushed down the list. We were told could be quite a while wait. She was very uncomfortable so decided to go home and hope lots of paracetamol would help. Sunday night still poorly so back on to 111 who made a late evening appointment at a health centre in Tipton who were brilliant and after discovering she’d got a severe UTI gave her a prescription for antibiotics. How dare RHH decide from a 2 minute triage who was in need of more urgent care. It shouldn’t be like this if there’s a queue for the doctor it’s not that urgent. Kids with running noses were given priority who were that ill they were running around the waiting room. Absolutely shocking.

  9. Review titled Everything

by Patient concern - Posted on 11 April 2023

Knocked over by car police had to take me to A&E due to a delay with the ambulance and complete first aid. Just awful don’t blame staff. No staff, hospital was filthy. I have blood cancer, I was stitched up on a bed with no cover and staff from other departments covering. I feel I should have seen a plastic surgeon and had a mri scan etc. Left with no aids or discharge letter, no water offered or pain relief had to ask. People had wet themselves and wheelchair not cleaned, other patients use them, no staff to help to use toilet, no idea of medical background, had to tell them. Very disjointed service, don’t blame staff, patients and staff put at risk. I’m articulate and had someone with me, I was discharged without letters or walking frame as unable to walk.
