  2. Review titled Gynae Outpatients experience

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I attended gynae outpatients for a colposcopy today. Apart from finding it difficult to locate the department due to poor signage, once I found it, the staff in the department were excellent. The colposcopy nurse immediately put me at ease with a friendly introduction and explanation of what was going to happen. The consultant was also friendly and clearly explained the procedure and possible outcomes beforehand. Both members of the team were respectful of my dignity and were reassuring throughout the process, talking to me and checking that I was ok. All in all, I feel that the members of the team that I saw were friendly, professional and genuinely caring. Thank you.

  3. Review titled Friendly and professional care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Just to thank the team - professional yet everyone was so approachable and friendly whilst waiting and kind and caring around the the operation. Waiting for the operation and having it is not something to look forward to - however I can't fault the service. I liked the way everyone was treated according to their needs and time was taken to discuss or listen to questions or queries. Plus the cup of tea was very good afterwards. Thank you very much indeed.

  4. Review titled Appalling service

Rated 1 star out of 5

Very severe bed side manner lacking. And extremely make you feel uncomfortable. Won’t be attending this hospital again. As I been continuously ignore and been very upset by the manner of the nurse in A&E assessment. Who was very rude towards me and didn’t hsve any caring towards my condition and the pain i was in. Which made me want to go to another hospital.

  5. Review titled Why is this department so hard to get in contact with

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Christopher Meredith - Posted on 01 August 2023

On my last visit in May everything was looking better, test results were mostly good, after this while at home, everything fell apart, I could barely move before gasping for breath and many other symptoms appeared, I just wanted to give my Doctor some sort of update, see if this was a problem, see if anything needs changing. instead it is impossible to speak with anyone on a phone reception or otherwise, no where I can send a short email. all I could get is a text reply saying I have a appointment in mid September a month and a half away, I collapse on a daily basis, gasping for breath and all I can now to is try and still be alive in a month and a half for my appoint and hope they can help, I am scared, all I want is 2 minutes of someone's time, a phone call, or someway to get a email to them.

Every single staff from Staff to Doctors/Consultants (Spinal) who sees my husband today perform their job professionally. Plan of care well explained and expected progress sounds very hopeful and promising for my husband care. I highly recommend this hospital mostly the spinal Unit.

  8. Review titled Efficient Effective and Compassionate

Rated 5 stars out of 5

My 90 year old mother had an asthma attack Friday evening. Every member of the hospital who treated her embraced their duties with the utmost respect, professionalism and compassion. She spent time in A&E and in the AMU and I'd be grateful if you could forward my sincere thanks to them.

  9. Review titled Amazing Experience.

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Richard Brookes - Posted on 24 April 2023

The staff who treated me were kind, sympathetic and professional. As this was my first time in A&E I didn't know what to expect, and I was amazed at the smooth way I was assessed, examined and treated. I can only say I was stunned at the quickness, ability and dexterity of the people who treated me. True, true professionals. And, thank God, actual people with a sense of humour, not heartless robots. I cannot praise them enough.
