  2. Review titled Excellent Audiology

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Carole Wellings - Posted on 16 March 2023

I saw an Audiologist yesterday for a hearing test. I was delighted as soon as I stepped into the hospital by the "Welcome" girl who not only told me where to go but took me there. I was called in on time, the audiologist was friendly, polite and very informative. What could have been a frightening experience was very pleasant and I left feeling informed and without any unanswered questions. When I returned home the audiologist telephoned me on a matter we had discussed and offered to "put me on the list" for further investigation. She, obviously, had continued to think about things after I'd left. Also, on leaving I visited the toilets and was extremely pleased at the clean condition they were in. One more positive, it was "free parking", too! A very experience good all round.

  3. Review titled Kind, caring and respectful

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 05 April 2023

I had an ultrasound and an internal scan. The two members of staff who looked after me and did the scans were friendly and kind. They introduced themselves and explained everything clearly. The procedure and facilities for getting undressed and dressed were respectful and made me feel at ease.

  4. Review titled Fantastic NHS Hospital

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by James - Posted on 31 March 2023

Just a quick review to highly recommend this NHS hospital. I visited the minor injuries department today after having been bitten on the leg by a dog. I was seen within 5 minutes of arriving and the nurse cleaned and dressed my injuries, and prescribed antibiotics. I was in and out in under 20 minutes. Staff very friendly and caring. Fantastic service and keep up the work.

  6. Review titled An amazing service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Sam - Posted on 17 February 2023

We visited the minor injuries unit at Samuel Johnson this afternoon. We were met by the friendliest receptionist ever. She was so welcoming, nonjudgemental and friendly. She should be a model for all receptionists. The nurse that we saw couldn’t be more empathetic friendly and able to put my elderly mum at ease while she tried to poke a splinter out of her finger which was infected! I don’t think I’ve ever had such pleasant service from any NHS department before. They deserve an award. This is how it should be done.

  8. Review titled Reception

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 06 January 2023

Would like to say the receptionist was talking to an older lady in front of myself who wasn't hearing well, telling her she must! wear a mask, fair comment....the receptionist had one on but only covering her chin. No smile or welcoming look from the receptionist, didnt even make eye contact with myself. Just a smile or showing an interest would help people feel more at ease ?

  9. Review titled Fantastic Service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 25 January 2023

I recently went to Samuel Johnson with what I thought was a minor infection. I was seen straight away by a wonderful Nurse. After my diagnosis, although I was happy with the treatment path, after further consideration, the Nurse referred me to straight to hospital alerting the on call Surgeon I was on my way. I was treated for a very bad infection immediately and I was very poorly. I am so grateful for the care and consideration I received from the Nurse from Samuel Johnson, without this I would have been in a considerable worse situation

I went along to the hospital because a wound was not healing and giving me cause for concern, and, my doctors' surgery is out of county. I was seen quickly and given proper care and attention. I cannot fault the staff or the service given. Thank you.
