I have been in hospital with quite a severe attack of asthma brought on by the hot weather . I was nurses initially in Resus and the staff in there were everything you would want a nurse to be . Attentive, compassionate, professional, consistent, candid and open . I had been in there a while and they went out of their way to bring me a proper bed and any issues with medication resolved quickly . As you can imagine it is an area that never stops but the smiles on the faces that greet patients never wain even though you knew they must be exhausted . Well Done Guys 👍Pretty much the same can be said about the next area of IIAu .Rushed off their feet but never to busy to answer a call bell or assist a distressed patient . Restores my faith in the NHS and Scunthorpe Hospital 👍👍👍👍

Just want to say a massive thank you to all the SDEC team for taking care of me. The new facilities are a huge improvement and the level of care and dedication from all the staff is of the highest standard. A friendly and professional standard maintained at all times. I could feel the different approach and its most welcomed. A staff member even remembered me from a previous visit. Keep up the good work. I know I'm in sage hands should I need to attend the new fantastic facilities and dedicated staff. Once again, a massive thank you.

I can not fault staff on ward 26 2 babies and not once am u able to say negative 1 particular lady each tome i cant mention apparently or won't publish but if she sees my name she will know. Having been scared having a c section the whole team from start to discharge made me feel so at ease and elpful throughout it all! That one lady i hope you see this, wwhen anyone asls about my births amdvadter xate your name is all i sleak about even 3yrs later from delivering my son to 11 days ago looking after me and my daughter agter my c section, i understand its "their job" but you never made me feel like it was just your job. You made me feel loved and helped in a time a woman is most vulnerable. Thank you sp your are a credit xxxx

A small break in a little finger. Through within an hour from reception, initial consultation, x-ray to final consultation and future appointment made. Excellent!

I recently went over on my ankle, and upon hearing a crack, decided to attend A&E at the hospital. Being honest our expectations were to be sat there for hours, first of all to wait for an initial assessment, then another wait for x-ray, then back to A&E for the news. After checking in with the friendly reception team, I'd only been sat down for 5-10 minutes before being called through to be assessed. I was sent for an x-ray, which after arriving in the department, this was completed within another 5-10 minutes, upon which I returned to the A&E dept. After waiting for literally another few minutes, I was called through to confirm I'd broken my ankle, was fitted with a boot, given an out-patient appointment and was on my way home within an hour of arriving. A very surprising but most welcome experience given all the bad press and things you hear about people being sat around for hours. Thankyou to all the staff involved, and what a great experience.

Recently had my baby on the labour ward at Scunthorpe hospital and was blown away by the kindness and care we received from all staff on the ward. I now refer to it as the world class ward because it’s the best experience I’ve had throughout my pregnancy and could not have been more grateful for the wonderful midwives, students and doctors I got to meet whilst there. Thank you so much everyone!

I was on cubical 4 and the staff were willing to make their patients smile. They were all very friendly and helped me feel comfortable. They are always nearby if you need them. Provide quick and effective care. Go above and beyond to ensure their patients have everything that they need. Appreciated the care I received whilst I was at hospital. All of the staff were very helpful and supportive. Thank you to the staff that were caring for me.

Came in for diagnostic tests and even though I didn't get great news I have nothing but admiration for the consultant the anesthesiologist and especially the lovely nurse who took care of me when they realised I had complex mental health issues they were amazing caring and so understanding so thank you ward 18 for everything you do

When my Mum fell ill an ambulance car came within 10min of calling them then an ambulance 15mins later, she was seen to in a&e very fast and the nurses and doctors came back and seen her within the time brackets they gave, a&e was very busy however, the staff was efficient kind and caring.
