Review titled Wonderful staff
Rated 4 stars out of 5
by Patricia Kilmore - Posted on 08 December 2024
My mother (97) had to have an ambulance after falling at home, she was on the floor most of the night until I found her in the morning, although we had to wait 2 hours for an ambulance I cannot praise highly enough the paramedics that arrive, the man in the back of ambulance with me and mum, so caring and helpful we were held there for four hours until a bed was available, then she was overnight in a and e, but the staff did everything they could for her. Then she moved to Iaau where the staff cared for her so gently special mention goes to the healthcare assistant she was amazing, and the staff nurse on duty who had to ring us on Saturday evening to go back in as mum was at the end, I see so many complaints about the hospital and yes we were held up for hours but the care given once in was exemplary

Review titled Very quick
Rated 5 stars out of 5

Attended A & E today, (7th), with an ankle injury. Very pleasant staff, served quickly, only waited 20-30 minutes, then triaged efficiently and quickly. Put straight into a wheelchair and taken to X-Ray. Waited 2 minutes then the radiographer came for me, then went back to the waiting room in A&E where the nurse came straight for me to discuss my results . Sent home after ligament damage diagnosis. Back home within 2 hours of leaving the house. Exceptional service! Thank you.

Just want to say a massive thank you to all staff that was on shift last night. I went with my daughter who was in a very bad shape because of a chest infection. I couldn't belive how fast they reacted and how well we've been treated. As soon as they sow her condition they took her in. They just left me to register her with the receptionist. The nursses that helpt us were amaizing and also the doctor. I never had a more plesant experience in hospital as this one! Thank you for your support. My little one is ok now thanks to you.

Review titled Incredible support
Rated 5 stars out of 5

Ward 2 Planned Investigation Unit 16/11/24 The woman with brown hair and helped with my first tablets was absolutely incredible. She explained everything in great detail. She didn’t belittle us, she made us feel so comfortable, I felt very scared and vulnerable at times during the day but she made me feel human again. My partner came to the unit with me this day and we kept saying to each other how glad we were that we had her as our main nurse. We don’t have a single negative comment about our experience with her. If it was our choice we would give her Christmas and new years off *hint hint and wink wink* Thanks again, we won’t ever forget you. Kind regards for the future.

Excellent service. However, the left hand has no idea what the right hand is doing! No wonder the NHS is in tatters. The staff cannot ne faulted, there dedication is faultless. The Nurses today were unreal in there service, they need Medals! The lady registrar was brilliant though difficult to understand, 99% fantastic

Review titled A&E and Disney ward, thank you!
Rated 5 stars out of 5

My son was rushed in with suspected appendicitis on Thursday. The staff were really lovely, helpful and reassuring at the a&e department. Short wait times and put us in our own room so my son could be a lot more comfortable as he need to lay down. He ended up needing surgery, and had to spend the night at Disney ward. Staff really lovely and caring, my son was reassured at all time and they took their time to explain things to him he suffers terrible with anxiety but they put him at ease. Food was good, nothing was too much trouble for them. First time I’ve had to visit Scunthorpe hospital. After this experience I think it will be now be my go to hospital with my kids.
