Review titled Great care
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Richard B - Posted on 30 August 2024
Nasty cut to my finger on Bank holiday Monday. Was registered, triaged, bandaged up and dealt with in just over an hour. Staff were professional, caring and efficient. Thank you so much!

Review titled Absolutely appalling!
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 18 June 2024
4 hours waiting for a suspected wrist fracture for my 11 year old, for them to say x-ray is now closed!!! Still have not been seen my a doctor. What is that? If they could not or are not willing to him he they should have just told us from the start and we would have taken him to another hospital! Absolutely appalling do not come here if you actually want to be seen or have x-ray

Dear Anonymous, We are sorry that you had cause to complain regarding your experience at Sevenoaks Urgent Treatment Centre. Our UTC team lead has offered some comments which relate to the concerns you have raised. Firstly, we would just like to clarify that our clinicians are UTC practitioners, not doctors. Any suspected fracture will have a full clinical assessment prior to the practitioner making the decision to request an x-ray. When the unit is exceptionally busy, as it sounds in this case, there is a possibility that x-ray will be closed (5pm), when the full assessment has been completed. Patients are triaged and assessment on arrival to ensure their safety to wait and we are unable to predict patient attendance and invariably this will incur a waiting time if there are high levels of activity. We would like to look further into your concerns but require more information, therefore would you please contact us on the below contact details, if you wish to, to enable us to do so. Best wishes, Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust Tel: 0800 030 4550 Email: kentchft.PALS@nhs.net Website: www.kentcht.nhs.uk

Took my mother here and the staff and treatment were first class. Really impressed and proud of our NHS for managing to do what they do under such difficult circumstances.

Review titled False information
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Bonnie - Posted on 27 January 2024
I visited the Urgent Care today for my 11 month old daughter to be seen after having had a persistent cough and fever for over a week to be told the wait was approximately 2 hours. I waited for an hour before asking roughly our position as my daughter was getting very restless and upset to be told there were two people ahead of us, half an hour later and my daughter was even more upset so I asked were we were in the queue (if it was still 2 people ahead I would be leaving as I couldn’t keep her in that situation for much longer) to be told we were next, but another hour went passed and we still were not called through. I understand that there are other people who may have taken priority and that not everyone would have been seeing the same professionals, but why were we left waiting when every single person there before us had been through and multiple people who had arrived after us (some 2 hours after) had been called through? Surely an 11month old baby takes some priority over adults as that’s who was mainly in the waiting area? Absolutely disgraceful.

Review titled An Essential Local Service
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by SED - Posted on 21 October 2023
I attended the Urgent Treatment Centre on a Saturday morning for a badly infected finger (having initially gone down the route of seeing a pharmacist and subsequently failing to get a telephone appointment with my GP). I was registered with Reception, seen by a Triage nurse and treated, all within the space of just over an hour (it was admittedly an unusually quiet morning). This minor injuries unit is such an essential local service, available 7 days a week, currently from 8am to 8pm. It saved me a trip (and no doubt a much longer wait) at A and E at the main hospital in the area. Minor injuries can sometimes become complicated ones if left, and the Sevenoaks urgent care centre bridges the gap between GP and main hospital A and E. I cannot thank the staff enough for the treatment they provided to me and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this invaluable local facility to other residents in the area.

Review titled Minor injures
Rated 2 stars out of 5

Found staff to be unprofessional, waiting time longer than stated. First visit there after an accident. I visited twice within a couple of days. Even though injuries were quite apparent, there was no empathy or assistance. No guidance given.
