Review titled A team that go above and beyond
Rated 4 stars out of 5
by Maya - Posted on 05 September 2024
What an amazing team! I was admitted for emergency Bowel surgery and recovered for a week on the Queen Anne Ward. My expectations were fairly low, but was humbled and moved by the exceptional care and support I received during my recovery. The team on the ward delivered personalised attention and empathy when, regularly checking in with me to ensure I was comfortable and not in pain. The hardworking nurses were on hand at all times, when I rang the bell for attention in the early hours, whatever the hour, I never waited more than 5 minutes on such a busy ward! The care was compassionate and made a significant difference in my recovery. For such a large hospital, the Nurses at St Annes Ward had such a positive and warm character, made a world of difference to my mindset, I cannot thank you enough. I wanted to name and publicly thank all those who went the extra mile, and comment on their efforts that did not go unnoticed, but unable to do so on this form. I am deeply appreciative to all the team for their hard work. The collective efforts and unwavering commitment to quality patient care really makes a difference there, despite all the challenges the staff face, they are truly commendable.

Review titled terrible service / communication
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Forgotten - Posted on 01 April 2024
my mother has been left with tubes in her kidneys open wounds plastered off and a district nurse having to come on weekly visits to redress these. she caught mrsa whilst at the hospital so has a high risk infection. It’s been 3 months with no contact she had a preop in December no feed back, called urology secretary no call back, complained to pals and still no contact from urology to pals or myself. please ensure you communicate or get sent on a course of how to communicate. my next option is to envolve the local mp and the medical director I’m hoping they are better at communicating.
