On visiting the department I was treated with friendliness, warmth and professionalism, the doctors and the staff members that were there did everything to make me feel at ease. Everything was explained thoroughly and I was able to make choices based on the information I was given. I can't thank you all enough for making a most pleasant experience the absolute best it. An excellent service performed by caring and excellent staff. Thank you very much.

I recently had an abdominal stomach reconstruction surgery. By a renowned surgeon and his surgical team . I couldn’t be more happier with the outstanding job well done and treatment from the all the surgical team . A big thanks to all the nurses on the ward, the care assistants, and physio team that took care of me and I hasten to thank the domestic team that kept my room constantly cleaned . I am full of appreciation .Keep up the good work.

  3. Review titled Brilliant care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Susanbolton - Posted on 20 December 2022

I attended Sanderson ward as a day care patient to have cystoscopy under general anaesthesia, I was very nervous and scared. From the time I stepped into the ward, which is a very warm welcoming place, I was looked after, all the nurses were so friendly and caring, they put me at ease immediately, all procedures were carried out professionally, from the waiting to be taken to theatre, to the surgeon who explained everything to me so that I understood what was happening, to the brilliant anaesthetist, who was caring and funny and immediately put me at ease, to the nurse who was with me in recovery and gave me my first drink of water, to the staff back at Sanderson, where I had sandwiches and tea from a lovely nurse, I was checked continually throughout my recovery and subsequent discharge. All of the nursing staff were so friendly, I cannot express how grateful I am and how safe I felt I knew I was in good hands the whole day, so thanks to all who looked after me, you do make a difference to people's lives when they are scared and apprehensive, hope you all have a brilliant Christmas you deserve it

Had 2nd cataract appointment cancelled 4 days prior to date l should have had it 4th January 2023 The reason for cancellation was they needed a special lens, why this wasn't ordered before 4th January l don't know. Told it should only be 2 to 3 weeks but after 11 weeks am still being told its not arrived. Am now getting really bad headaches and a lot of blurred vision daily. Not pleased at all with the service .
