  1. Review titled Not urgent care or minor injuries. What are you?

Rated 2 stars out of 5

My 82 yr old father cut his hand & it was deeper than a normal plaster could cope with. We went to St Luke’s as I thought it would need to be glued. Was told at St Luke’s they couldn’t do anything with it but no one else waiting & there were enough staff. Told to go on to urgent care at Corby where they duly glued the hand. Corby staff couldn’t understand why dad had been sent to them as there was nothing complicated about the wound. What is going on at St Luke’s? Very strange.

Dear Patient Thank you for your feedback. I was sorry to hear about your distressing experience of the Urgent Care Centre. Unfortunately this is not managed by UHL. I believe it is managed by Derbyshire Health United (DHU) should you wish to lodge a complaint (dhuurgentcare.clinicalgovernance@nhs.net).

Dear Commenter I was very sorry to hear about your experience of our service - this is clearly not the experience we would want any of our patients to have. If you would like us to investigate and respond to you on this matter, please can you contact our complaints team on: pils@uhl-tr.nhs.uk We would be only too happy to investigate and follow up on this for you.

  3. Review titled Poor service wrong information

Rated 1 star out of 5

My wife(NHS worker) fell and injured shoulder. The hospital website stated that the minor injuries was open on a Sunday during the day up to 7pm. Drove there arriving at 3pm . Door locked. Sign outside same as website.Rang doorbell on and off for 40 minutes and no one appeared or responded on intercom. Other prospective patients arrived and could not get any response. If there was no service update the website or put a note on the door. Ended up at minor injuries unit at Rugby and yes they were open. The service at St.Lukes just not good enough for the area. It used to be better!!
