  1. Review titled Excellent Stoma Nurse /Team

Rated 5 stars out of 5

    by Ruth S - Posted on 09 December 2022

Thank you to the stoma nurse that visited me twice on the Gladstone Ward, while technically not on her round that day, my stoma had stopped working after major surgery and I was very concerned. Despite being busy, she checked in with me (gave me her last barrier wipe) as my skin integrity was breaking and provided much needed reassurance. I was very grateful that she was willing to go the extra mile and I finally got my stoma working again. This team is a credit to St Marks hospital .

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave this lovely feedback. I shall pass this onto the Stoma team so that the staff member can read your kind words. Kind Regards Pippa Kashmiry - Patient Experience Lead.

  2. Review titled Gladstone Ward Nurse

Rated 5 stars out of 5

    by Ruth S - Posted on 08 December 2022

My 2nd inpatient visit to Gladstone Ward. Whilst a separate positive review has already been left for the clinical and non clinical team. I feel that "special" mention has to go to a Nurse who has worked in the NHS for over 5 decades for this hospital. The review won't get published if I name her, but this "Angel" was as dedicated, caring and enthusiastic when she cared for me as I can imagine she was when she first qualified. I wanted to take her home with me. Thank you so much, you are an inspiration to everyone around you. You represent all that is good in the NHS and deserve a medal. I hope you get to see this review.

  3. Review titled Colorectal/Coloprotology - Excellent Care/Excellent Team

Rated 5 stars out of 5

    by Ruth S - Posted on 08 December 2022

2nd inpatient visit in 4 months to the Gladstone Ward. Had a positive experience first time, duly reviewed. Once again, have nothing but praise for the clinical and non clinical team who work hard to provide excellent and consistent care. Their dedication is awesome!! they truly live the NHS values, commitment to quality of care, respect and dignity for all patients, I have been so grateful to the team in the Gladstone Ward. All I can offer is biscuits and thank you cards each visit, but they all deserve so much more.

Dear sir/Madam, Thank you for your feedback about the care you received during your recent stay on Gladstone Ward at Northwick Park Hospital. We will of course share your kind words with the staff in Gladstone Ward who I am sure will be very appreciative to hear that their hard work has been recognised in such a way. Thank you once again for taking the time to share your experience with us. Kind regards, Emma Calnan - Patient Experience Officer

  4. Review titled Website inaccuracy

by Sandav - Posted on 25 November 2022

A good friend is in St Mark's Hospital. We went to visit him yesterday. The link to the hospital on the Central Middlesex webpage shows the hospital to be in Harrow. We went to Harrow, but he was not there, he was in St Mark's at Acton Lane. On enquiry, it seems that the main part of St Mark's is now in Acton, but this is not shown on your website. Apart from having to pay for two expensive car parks, we were only able to spend a very limited amount of time with our friend once we had driven all the way from Harrow. May I please ask for you to clarify the locations of St Mark's Hospitals on your website, so that others do not suffer the same problem as us. It was extremely stressful.

Dear Sandav, I am sorry to hear of the confusion and added stress that you suffered trying to visit your friend. I shall contact the team at St Marks and ask them to look into this for you and ask them to work with the Communications Team to have the website updated. We do have St Marks services running at both sites, but will ask them to make this a bit clearer. Kind Regards Pippa Kashmiry- Patient Experience Lead
