  1. Review titled Great A&E Receptionist

Rated 5 stars out of 5

She exceeded the required level of service, resolving a genuine issue. This allowed me to enjoy the rest of my weekend away.

  2. Review titled Yes there are long waits but…

Rated 4 stars out of 5

Yes we spent nearly 7 hours in A&E (on a Saturday night) being seen and then awaiting test results etc, but it was busy and what can you really expect from a service that has to deal with whoever happens to turn up? Plenty of people there with minor injuries who could probably have gone elsewhere. All the staff, from receptionists to the triage nurses and duty doctors, were frankly amazing. Professional and courteous in the face of a barrage of complaints about the wait, I can’t praise them enough and feel truly awed by what they must have to deal with every day.

It was impossible to find any Staff on the Ward my husband is in who could or would provide me with ANY information regarding why he is being kept in. The Nursing is very bgood but trhe lack of any information is very unkind to relatives.

My husband was discharged a week ago then readmitted a few days ago. . It is a totally frustrating experience trying to obtain ANY information concerning his condition and what the Doctor's comments have been. I fully appreciate how under pressure all the Nurses are but surely SOME considerationj for Relatives could be managed?

  6. Review titled Appalling!!!

Rated 1 star out of 5

My 3 year old daughter broke her elbow and we’ve taken her straight to A&E.( it is an emergency) Mum and her waited from 6pm until 7am to be seen. All this time, there were other parents with little kids that have had suspected broken limbs giving up after 6-7 hours of waiting . I wonder what exactly does it take to be treated as an urgent matter.
