Recent blood tests and blood transfusions. Great care. Professional friendly staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Had to go there on the last Fri & Saturday in Sept and first Fri & Saturday in October. Some staff were different over the two visits but all equally excellent. Thank you very much.

  3. Review titled Caring and Compassionate .

My Father passed peacefully away on May ward on the 14 09 2024 at 16.25 The nursing staff on the ward at the time, showed compassion for my dad and me, they were supportive and caring and made sure my dad was comfortable and died with dignity. They gave us privacy, yet made sure we were okay and given plenty of tea! because of those nurses my last memory of my dad is a good one. As a retired nursing sister myself, I recognised the excellent care, and want the staff to know how much they were appriciated and how they made a difference to my dad and me. My dad was a huge supporter of the NHS and he would want to say " your doing a great job" So thankyou to the Palliative care team and all staff involved in dad's care. From 08 09 2024-14 09 2024

I went to A & E on 5 September. Staff very kind. The doctor who treated me initially was very kind and empathetic. Went on to Falcon ward and again staff were so caring and empathetic. I’m nervous of hospitals so was very grateful to receive such amazing care. The nurses were so kind and caring. Thank you to you all for your kindness to me. I won’t forget it. ❤️

  5. Review titled Inadequate disabled car parking

Rated 1 star out of 5

by John Bennett - Posted on 24 September 2024

Procedure appointment 1410. Outpatients parking completely full and disabled spaces all taken. Had to park in staff space and risk fine. This is a relatively new car park so was obviously inadequately designed in the first place. There is no alternative parking available so the only to choice is to illegally park or drive back home thereby missing the appointment and costing the NHS unnecessary costs.

  6. Review titled A x E

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I took my 22 year old son to St Peter’s A x E Friday evening as he was displaying classic heart attack symptoms . The waiting room was packed but he was taken straight through and an ECG done immediately . Bloods were taken followed by a CT scan of his heart . The dr kept us update regularly and he then had a contrast CT scan of his aorta followed by more bloods x. In total 4 ECGs . They were so thorough . He was given morphine for the pain and after 4 hours discharged with pain relief . They couldn’t find anything wrong but he was given a complete and thorough check over . The drs and nurses were amazing next time if ever I have to go to Ax E and have to wait several hours I now fully appreciate it is because they have prioritised people like my son and quite rightly . Our NHS is amazing . Think you A x E St Peter’s and all your amazing x Caring staff

  7. Review titled Amazing service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I took my daughter to AnE regards to her epilepsy. She was having an adverse effect and was experiencing some very traumatic symptoms. Throughout our visit I felt she was listened to and every avenue was covered to find a solution. The staff were extremely helpful and kept her calm. She was later discharged and I am very pleased to say that the new tablets have worked wonders so far. Thank you NHS

Today we saw a Male Dr for Neurology at St Peters Hospital and what a lovely doctor he is. He had a nice, calm manner and explained everything he needed to. You are a credit to the NHS and we thank you for your kindness. The hospital although old is a pleasure to visit. Free parking, nice staff and an uncomplicated visit. Keep up your good work.

  10. Review titled Exceptional Experience

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Brian Thomson - Posted on 17 May 2024

On 13 May 2024 I was admitted to St Peter’s for a suspected angina/heart attack. I doubt anyone likes being admitted to hospital, least at St Peter’s which, unfortunately has a poor reputation apart from the food where the poor reputation is fully justified. Now the good part. My care was undoubtedly the best I have received in any hospital. I was first assessed by SDEC who, whilst under enormous pressure, treated me with kindness, compassion and supreme skill. When it was decided that I was to be admitted I was transferred to Burch Ward. Everything went without a hitch. The nursing staff in Burch were brilliant and I cannot speak highly enough of them, both in B ward and later in D ward. Similarly the doctors were as brillliant and, they too, were excellent, extremely competent and ultra professional. When it was decided I needed angioplasty and a stent inserted I could not have been in better hands. Every area of my treatment was handled professionally and with love, kindness and respect. Nothing seemed to phase the nurses even when some patients became “ a little outspoken”. If you need to be admitted to St Peter’s you could not be in better or more capable hands. Don’t be fooled by previous reviews, St Peter’s and their nursing staff are a real credit to the NHS. Now if they could sort the catering???
