Review titled Fabulous staff
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Christine McMahon - Posted on 20 December 2024
Yesterday I attended A&E following a nasty fall. I want to say a big thank you to the members of The A&E team for such caring, kind and professional service. The A&E department was extremely busy and yet each member of the team treated me with respect, dignity and kindness. I would like to give special thanks to the Maxfax doctor who stitched the wound in my mouth, who did a brilliant job and showed such dedication and professionalism. Thank you to all and I want to say how lucky we are to have such a wonderful district hospital.

Review titled A pleasant visit to A&E and Outpatients
Rated 5 stars out of 5

Just returned from my extended holiday in Portugal, having spent 8 days in the Faro General hospital with a further two weeks recovery, with a urinary complication. I cannot praise enough both St Richards, Chichester A&E and the Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC outpatients dept), for the speed, friendliness, professionalism extended to me, by both receptions, triage nurse, and the eventual doctor who dealt with my ongoing situation. It was an agreeable experience that I will forever be grateful for.

I visited A&E twice in 5 days. Whilst the wait in department was longer than I thought the staff were brilliant. Going back on 5th day I saw the doctor before my appointment time. Diagnosis was quick and treatment exceptional. Everyone in the department went above and beyond to help me.

Review titled Excellent hospital
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by MR RICHARD KEEP - Posted on 30 November 2024
My experience of St Richards Hospital was very good. All the staff were excellent and friendly and helpful and professional. I'd gone in with a suspected DVT and was dealt with very well. The doctor who saw me was very thorough and explained everything to me. I have since had to go for an ultrasound appointment which confirmed that I did have a DVT. Again all the staff were excellent. I also had to go to the Emergency Floor where again I couldn't fault the staff. Everyone is so friendly and caring. I have also been contacted by the Pharmacy in the hospital to explain about my medication etc. What a wonderful hospital. Even the timing between each stage was brilliant as I didn't have to wait long between A&E and the scan Thank you St Richard's

My elderly mother is a resident of a dementia care home. Unfortunately, she had a fall and was taken into St Richard's Hospital. I can't praise the staff enough for the way they dealt with my Mum as the dementia complicates things and one minute she can be fine and very angry the next. All the staff within the ambulatory ward and the staff within the X-Ray dept deserve special mention. Thank you for all the good work you do.

Arrived in A&E to a shabby over crowded room, but the staff couldn't be more caring and helpful. Eventually transferred to ward. I was lucky, this only took 7hrs from arrival.

After visiting for a pre op assessment I had to go to pathology for a blood test. Apart from the lift being out of order the stairs were absolutely filthy the dirt in each corner was disgusting for a hospital.

Review titled Thank you!

Thank you to the wonderful mfu team for the way they looked after my mum who had a horrific head wound following a fall. The way they cared for her and made her feel comfortable and at ease, especially during the long suture process was outstanding. They are clearly a very caring team. I wish I could mention names here, but I know it’s not permitted – but hopefully they see this and know how very grateful the whole family is. Thank you!

Review titled Couldn’t have done more to help, really pleased with my care
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Judith - Posted on 31 October 2024
After attending A&E but allowed home, I was admitted 2 days later with a hand injury and have just spent five days on Wittering Ward. Despite it being a very busy ward, and lots going on, every effort was made to help me feel as comfortable as possible as soon as possible, especially considering I was in agony. I’d like to thank all staff involved in my care for their dedication under sometimes dire circumstances with very ill patients as well, day and night staff, theatre staff (most were unaware I am an ex theatre sister) and my consultant and his team. I couldn’t have wished for any better so a massive thank you to all, you’re all doing a great job. Respect
