  1. Review titled Exceptional standards of care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Darcy - Posted on 02 August 2024

I am so grateful for the care received by all members of staff, they were incredibly hands on and even witnessing them deal with challenging patience but remaining calm and compassionate towards them throughout. I cannot speak highly enough of all the staff on accident and emergency, from doctors, nurses to health care assistants everyone was so kind and considerate and really a credit to the hospital, I hope they all get the recognition they deserve as they really do an outstanding job.

  2. Review titled Efficient, Professional and Compassionate

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I had to get an Ekg, the message from my doctor popped into my phone and i went along to the hospital. All the staff were very helpful and directed me to the right area with instructions i could easily follow. I logged on for my appointment using the machine about 30 mins early (the machine was super easy to use). I had hardly sat down in the waiting area when the (Dr/Nurse/Technician I have no idea) came out and said I could come through. I was a little nervous but she chatted and made small talk while it was setup and then told me to relax and after a couple of minutes it was all done. I don't like keeping doctors and other professionals waiting so I am always early for appointments, it was really nice to get seen so fast even though I was early. Thank you very much to all the staff at the hospital and lets hope the results are as positive as the experience.

  4. Review titled MRU Visit

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Rik - Posted on 31 July 2024

I arrived in a&e at Stafford with chest pain and was transfered very quickly to the MRU Unit. The staff there were exceptional and thorough from the moment I arrived. They carried out all manner of tests and kept me informed at every stage. I had to return a couple of times for follow on checks and again each time the staff were excellent and friendly. I was also really impressed by the cleanliness of the unit and the hospital overall. It comes across as a very well run Hospital, I had a really good experience. Many thanks to all the staff

Attended appointment at the Urology Department. The patience, respect and professionalism was wonderful and "thank you" is so inadequate but most sincere.

I arrived in A&E at 8.00am with suspected dislocated shoulder. Was seen within five minutes with triage nurse, then by nurse x-rayed within 10 minutes then taken into surgery shoulder put back in place all done within 2 hours. Staff brilliant every one of them congratulations Stafford for such an experience whilst in so much pain for your very kind help.

Taken in on 4th May with a bruised and swollen knee. Thank you to the staff that looked after me, kind and attentive. Special mention to the best hot chocolate maker, taxi organiser and crutch teacher in the world. I'm now mastering the crutches with the help of my friend that is staying with me for a few days. We are truly blessed to have this amazing service. Thank you NHS!!!!! 🥰😚💙👏👏👏🌈

Poor oncology patient came into waiting room with red card clearly very unwell, but left in waiting room, her husband went twice to reception to be told to wait- I work as a district nurse and this is unacceptable , clearly neutropenix . Shame on you!

  9. Review titled Extremely caring

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Ellie - Posted on 30 April 2024

Having my first broken bone, I went to my appointment very nervous. While I didn’t think I had waited for particularly long, the nurse was still apologetic and took me to my appointment. There the doctor and nurse took the time to explain everything to me in detail, chatted to me and made me laugh also answering my (many) questions. Having to have a bone reset made me upset as I was scared but several staff stayed with me through it, reassuring me all the way and taking the time to support the effected limb for me. The nurse explained how to administer my medication at home and kept checking I was 100% ok before I left. For what was a distressing time, the team took a lot of stress out of the situation and I’m so grateful for it. Thank you to the team, you really helped me so much x

  10. Review titled No one answers the phone.

Rated 4 stars out of 5

I have been ringing on and off since 9am this morning to the Stoke hospital. I have rang Physiotherapy Department and the main switch board. No one at the hospital is picking up the phone. This isn't the first time I have had this trouble, I rang one or two weeks ago the same no answer problem. Today I have also been ringing Stafford hospital in the hope main switchboard will answer. But no , this is ridiculous. I dont even have an email to contact . What do I do? There are receptionist's , doctors secretary's and main switchboard operators , throughout a whole day not one person answers.
