Review titled Great walk-in centre
Rated 5 stars out of 5

Receptionists were extremely friendly and welcoming. Also a volunteer to assist on the way in. Waiting room was busy, but had all the facilities required including a shop, TV and water machine as well as face-masks. People were being seen efficiently and I only had to wait an hour before I had been prescribed readily available medication. Overall, a great service and experience.

My daughter attended today and received wonderful treatment from all the staff and volunteers. A very short wait before she was seen and then seen by a doctor who was efficient and kind. We are so lucky to have this service, thank you.

Thank you so much to the lovely nurse who assessed my daughter's cracked collar bone today and radiologist who took a very efficient x-ray of a very wriggly 2 year old! The nurse was so lovely with my daughter who was not really up for being poked and prodded to diagnose the problem but she gained her trust and took her time with us and even got a smile. Much appreciated and really reassured :) Thank you!

My husband had just spent 2 long days at a local hospital. On returning home, we noticed a cannula had been left in. Couldn’t face another wait so asked GP practice if they could remove it. Refused! So we hit on Teddington Hospital where he was seen with speed, kindness and great compassion. Thank you for being there

Review titled Bad experience

I took my 15 month old baby to teddington hospital I was very concerned about my baby’s cough runny nose and fever the assessment women brought us in the room to say there is no paediatricians or nurses to examine my baby’s chest I would have to go to ane or come back tomorrow I said I was very upset about this I would complain and I left. Then I got a phone call when I left about 5-10 minutes later the receptionist at the hospital saying there is a slot and now my baby can be seen? I was so confused the woman who was meant to assess my baby but refused and said I would have to go ane lied by saying there was no one around to see my baby when there was I do not understand how this could happen when I then returned back to teddington hospital the same lady wanted to re assess my baby when she already said no one could examine my baby therefore I refused to be seen by her a doctor saw my daughter and she was prescribed antibiotics. I was so upset by this especially after my daughter having pneumonia in the summer she was misdiagnosed at kingston hospital sent home 2 days later im calling an ambulance for her. It’s so sad having to go through this it should not happen to anyone with small vulnerable babies many times I have witnessed my babies being let down by nhs.

I fell and injured my wrist, and attended the hospital this morning. I had read, on the website, that a 111 appointment was needed. The clinician, who rang from 111, did not know this, but when she looked, she found the appointments. As with another review, within a couple of hours, I had been triaged, x-rayed, my wrist had been manipulated back into place, plastered, x-rayed again, and I was discharged, with the contact number for Kingston Fracture Clinic. I cannot rate the service, or rather the people who provide the face-to-face service, highly enough. While there, patients were reminded to ask 111 for an appointment, as those people attending without one would be seen, but they would be added to the end of the appointment list, unless it was for a more serious matter. Residents from Kingston are also, apparently, able to call the Out of Hours doctor (no information has ever been given, on our surgery out of hours recorded message about this, but it is detailed somewhere on the website). ..... All weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and Bank Holidays you can both consult and see a local GP who has full access to your notes between 08:00 and 20:00 by calling the GP Extended Access Hub (run by Kingston Chambers) on 020 3841 9942. Thank you everyone who acted in any role today

Review titled Horrible service by the nurse
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Rita - Posted on 05 July 2023
On the 5th July 2023, at 3pm10 I entrance the hospital with my ankle completely swollen I was not able to walk, or put the feet on the floor, putting the weight on my feet was extremely painful. I went to the consultory at 4pm07the nurse was completely rude cause saw that I was alone in a wheel chair and I couldn't push myself, she was watching me stuggling and did absolutely nothing. After the struggle to go inside, she forced me to got up on my feet and putting my weight on without support. I was in pain, and the only thing she said that I need was Ibuprofen and Paracetamol. In the X Ray, the doctor was very useful and helped me with the wheel chair to go to the patients room. The X Ray showed that I didn't have anything broken. So for the doctor is like I only had a bruise and treat me like I was pretending even when my feet and ankle was swollen and clearly I couldn't bare my feet on the floor. After hearing from the nurse that I need to do exercise, and move the feet, and putting weight, I was leaving the hospital in pain, without being able to walk independently. The only thing I ask was for crutches, that I need for the next days to have some independence to be able to walk. I came back, and I asked the nurse to give evidence base of care and she refused to even give references of what she recommending and called other nurse. The next nurse after I said that I was going to be alone the next days and I need some support, the answer was to get in a taxi home. Like if she is the one paying for the taxi, and apart from that, doesn't help me being able to walk alone, I will not go by taxi everywhere. Well, after telling me that is not the protocol to give crutches when a ankle is sprained, which is not true or is a new protocol to save money to NHS, after a friend months ago it happened the same and had crutches by the doctor advise. I left with crutches after a lot, I had to put myself in a position of argument to be able to have crutches when it's obvious that a ankle sprained it can get really serious if not rested and stable enough in the first weeks. The information and references of this nurses is 0, danger for the patient cause only acts to benefit themselves instead of the patient. The service was horrible, the way I was talked was shameful, and absolutely unprofessional. I don't recommend at all going to the emergencies in this hospital cause the nurses don't know what they are doing, being given paracetamol and ibuprofen I can give to myself I don't need nurses for that. The advise given was horrible and for a person to be treated like this better go to another service. Kingston hospital emergencies has better nurses and doctors, I will not go again to this hospital for anything, you will leave worse than you entrance.
