    Everything was very good and friendly very clean good food and friendly staff the car park can be a bit of a problem as it gets crowded

    From start to end of my medical stay at Droitwich Hospital, I had an excellent experience. I had a full right knee replacement and stayed for 4 days (previously had full left knee replacement at same hospital). The accommodation was first class, with my own room, en-suite, TV and great food. The whole of the staff from consultant to nurses, recovery nurses, night nurses, physiotherapists, admin, porters, catering staff, housekeeping (especially the 2 sisters), were all amazing and nothing was too much trouble. I felt more like a guest than a patient. During my NHS stay I was treated with total respect, care and dignity. The aftercare was brilliant, from physiotherapist to emergency doctor appointment on a Friday afternoon. I would definitely recommend this wonderful hospital and the fabulous staff. Thank you Droitwich Hospital.

    I had an Appointment at Droitwich at 6.30 pm today. At 5.15 pm today as I was about to leave. they rang to cancel it. My experiences have been just awful. They keep you on the phone for ages, cannot connect you, promises to ring you back just do not happen. They will not use ordinary text messages or e mail. They send you secure messages which do not work. Hopeless.

    Yes. I agree with those who say you can't get through on the phone .. 'cause you can't. The person-to-person coimmunication is excellent; the surgeons are superb; the condistions commendable; the car park is free !!, yes, NHS, free !! .. its just easier and less frustrating to get in the car and jorney to Droitwich than pick up the phone. Please Do Something about it. Please!

    I spent all day yesterday trying to get through on the telephone to speak to somebody about my appointment, without success despite leaving a message, as every time I called it just went straight through to a recording asking me to leave a message, and then when I messaged the email address provided it just bounced straight back as undeliverable!

    Due to go in for hip surgery on 23/02/2023 needed to try to change my blood tests appointment to the day before but trying to speak to someone yesterday was impossible. The phone system seriously needs looking into. Managed eventually to leave a message but no call back, tried several times again later which resulted in yet again leave a message but no way would I have done that, then twice did eventually speak to someone but got cut off during the transferring of the call. After several hours of persistent calling and extremely annoyed the final outcome was appointed couldn’t be changed. Paid for my operation yesterday but really do have doubts now. Fully understand they are busy but did expect a better service. Why have a messaging service that’s obviously not managed. Really hope I don’t need to have to make any contact between now and the operation or for any aftercare.

    I arrived in good time for my planned surgery and was just finishing off being admitted when someone barged in front of the nurse dealing with me to say there was a problem. Apparently they did not have an anaesthetist that day. They didn’t want to phone me earlier or avoid me going to the hospital as they were hoping to find a replacement before my operation. This obviously this didn’t happen so I was sent home with them saying the would reschedule assuring me that I would be back within weeks rather than months. I hadn’t heard anything by the end of the week so I phoned them to find out what was going on. I was then told my operations had been rescheduled for in 3 months time! Due to this I have suffered loss of earning due to attending hospital for the day only to be sent home, I incurred unnecessary travel costs, lost future earning from jobs I had to cancel and cannot reschedule and I’m unable to change my payment plans with creditors due to them already being in place. If that’s not bad enough, I now have to lose most of that again at a time when I should have been going back to work, just without a financial plan to get me through my impending sick leave.

    From the first appointment through to the day of the operation I have received wonderful treatment from both the medical and the admin staff. I was made to feel completely at ease through every process. The consultant has a down to earth approach and treats you with the utmost respect. Any worries I might have had soon disappeared and even though this would be my first time I have had surgery since having my tonsils out as a child I was completely at ease. The aftercare I received was what I would consider to be 5 star treatment even though I was an NHS patient. Nothing was too much trouble and the care I received was exemplary. All staff, from the ward clerks, to the health workers, the nurses, the doctors, the anesthetist, the physiotherapist, the porters and of course the consultant gave me the best care anyone could have wished for. I consider myself very, very lucky!
