Review titled Excellent care throughout mum's stay
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Hazel - Posted on 26 June 2024
Mum (94)was admitted to A&E after passing out and hitting her head. From the moment she arrived in an ambulance she was treated with kindness, patience, and respect. She had blood taken, ecg, head scan and was in a close obs bed within 6 1/2 hrs. In Mary Seacole South the excellent care continued whilst she was on a 48hr heart monitor, then in Montuschi ward where she stayed for a week before having a pacemaker fitted at Bart's, returning to the Whittington and discharge the next day. A huge thank you to all the staff who treated her for their kindness and professionalism throughout. In spite of them being so very busy nothing was ever a problem.

Review titled Phone line just goes dead
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Melissa - Posted on 23 May 2024
I have called twice to the centre that I was referred to for an Ultrasound to change my appointment. I was in the queue twice for at least ten minutes, waited, and then there was a sound as if someone was picking up and then nothing. Silence. I kept repeating hello and asking if they could hear my but there was no response. I just wasted an hour of my time trying to get in touch and the outcome wasn't even that I was able to change my appointment. So now what? I can't attend and I can't change the appointment?

Review titled Not Helpful
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 20 May 2024
I don't know why but some staff are very rude and don't know how to speak nicely and politely to callers. At all times, staff should treat people/patients with a respectful manner. Most of the time depends on who you get, they are very good and helpful but my experience today was awful.

Review titled Commendable practice
Rated 4 stars out of 5

My daughter was taken to A & E. The staff were extremely polite, friendly and empathetic. The care in resus was second to none. Unfortunately I am not allowed to mention specific names as they deserve a mention. I've been to A & E on a number of occasions and this particular visit has shone a positive light on the staff that I had the good fortune to meet.

Review titled Compassionate, proactive, and caring staff
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Joe - Posted on 15 May 2024
I attended the Emergency Department in May of 2024. Although the department was extremely busy, the staff still managed to go above and beyond, regularly checking and keeping on top of pain and taking the time to answer any questions and make me feel comfortable. I can’t speak highly enough of the nurses, HCAs, doctors and porters - thank you for looking after us all!

Visited for a Colonoscopy, the service was fantastic, the staff as caring as attentive as you could hope for and the whole process was as smooth as I could have hoped. All my anxiety was taken away by a great bunch of people.

Review titled Poor experience Nurse untrained
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Hannah - Posted on 10 April 2024
Nurse who did my blood test was untrained it was painful and seemed like he didn't know what he was doing the nurse said my vein is good but the blood flow wasn't in response why it was painful and said same reason for not want to leave a Cannula and believed this may be reason the nurse also was refilling the vial of blood sample containing trying to add more to them. The nurse then did ecg test ecg clips kept falling off mid test. Waited hours for result Dr was unable to read both the blood test and ecg test done and had to retake both of them as a result. Overall I was there for over 6hrs as a result of having to retake these test the nurse that did my test the 2nd time clearly more experienced and smoothly done with no mishaps or unnecessary pain with a clear difference between the nurses. I understand nurses are being trained but when they are unsure or lacking experience which the first nurse appeared to be I would rather them seek help advice from a staff than just continuing anyways and as a result time is wasted. Review titled Fracture in my arm
by Serife Tuylu - Posted on 15 April 2024
I have never ever had the worst experience in all my life. I am a disabled person when in on Sunday with a broken arm. They took me. In took an X-ray. Gave me some painkillers. Bandaged my arm. Gave me an appointment for the 17th to go back this month. My bandage came off and was not secure. That made my arm worse than what it was. So I went back. They took another X-ray. I went back and told me that it is in a worse condition than what it was when I first went in. I wasn't happy with the way they were Dealing With it. I wanted a second opinion so I went to the Homerton hospital. Where they dealt with my injury. They were very good and very concerned about my condition. They called the wing tinton and ask them to send off the images to them. Of my ex race, they did not do that. They refused it. Early hours of the morning, I went back to the hospital. But I first went. There was no one in the waiting room. They made me wait and told me that I should wait until 9 AM. I was holding my hand up with my injured arm and they was not looking at me. Or coming to me, I told them I was in a lot of pain. An hour later, they came back and told me that there was no one there to look at my injury for My arm So I left and came home. I've had no support. No one called me to find out what happened. Just left me like that and now I am sitting in my home in a Terrible stay.

Review titled Contact details
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by Family Member - Posted on 26 April 2024
The Occupational Therapy Department has no listed contact telephone number, no voicemail to take messages, no contact email address to leave a message to request staff to make contact. The phone line is not manned so that calls are not answered. A system should be in place so that a message can be left for a member of the team to make contact.
