Review titled Phone call
by Catlady666 - Posted on 18 August 2023
I was annoyed. My husband had an appointment last week. The imaging dept called his mobile. Did not leave a message. When I called them back I was informed by recorded message that department closes at 3 pm and to ring tomorrow. Why not call on our landline? [Unsure about 'Daily living support']

Review titled Long waiting time
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 24 July 2023
Husband waited two hours for his appointment to be told that he needed an x-ray by the consultant. The consultant seemed very rushed as we did not get time to discuss how the operation went and was advised by the consultant that the staples should have been removed prior to appointment. Have a great love of The Whittington but today was very disappointed at the length of time. I was pleased to be updated by your colleague of the waiting time. Unfortunately this lady seemed to be the only person with kindness and empathy. Very upset at the long wait and not having time with the consultant to discuss the outcome of my husband's operation.

Review titled Lack of communication
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 02 August 2023
A doctor called me on 12/7 to inform me i have been placed on the 2 week path way as I need a hysteroscopy and biopsy following a scan in June. I received an appointment for 10/8. No information regarding what will happen at the appointment. I have called and emailed. I also contacted PALs but still no information. Inexcusable and unacceptable lack of information and communication.

Review titled Cavell Ward-Thank you
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Dayaben Bakrania - Posted on 04 July 2023
My Mum Mrs Dayaben was admitted initially to Mary seacole ward then transferred to Cavell Ward. The staff at Cavell ward are polite caring and kind, they really looked out for my Mum. I would like to say a special Thank you to all the staff nurses at Cavell ward and the Dr who was treating my Mum. My Mum doesn't understand English but staff were really considerate of her and cared for her . Well done Cavell Ward nurses and Dr who treated my Mum. You were also having to put up with some irrate patients there and you carried on throughout the day with care and compassion. Whittington are lucky to have you.

Review titled Absolutely exemplary
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Vince - Posted on 17 June 2023
I attended the A&E department after my local walk-in centre had closed. The team of various disciplines were nothing short of amazing. All were professional, calm and caring as they took me through the various stages of my treatment. The hospital is an absolute credit to the Trust and NHS in general. I would have no problem returning, recommending and supporting going forwards.

Review titled Terrible experience
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 29 December 2023
My surgery went reasonably well as far as I am aware, however the after care was appalling , I was physically shaken awaken & dragged by my arm to the toilet 5 times just in order to pass urine, this is so they can discharge you asap. I had a problem passing water & had to have a catheter, however the nurses were belligerent & nasty , they really hate it when they can’t discharge you , I was treated like an animal in the day ward . One particular nurse said I was dehydrated which was not the case , the opposite was true & I had to have a catheter to drain the urine. I don’t think nurses should be manhandling patients & forcing them to the toilet after a serious operation, just give people a chance to recover!!!
