  1. Review titled Who knew a colonoscopy could be a wonderful experience?

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 10 August 2024

I attend Tiverton hospital for a follow up colonoscopy after an initial procedure at the RD&E and I cannot express how happy I was with my experience. It’s a shame I can’t name the staff because they were truly wonderful. Everyone I came into contact with, including my surgeon was just wonderful. So friendly and they went out of their way to normalise an uncomfortable experience and to put me at ease. From making jokes and sharing stories about their own lives to simply explaining everything that was happening in a really relatable, clear way. I cannot thank them enough and I really hope they know what a difference they make to their patients by taking the time to care. I’m likely to need repeat procedures yearly and I will be requesting to go back to Tiverton!

I attended Tiverton Hospital for an ultrasound scan. Reception and the staff member who carried out the scan were most professional, helpful and efficient.

  4. Review titled Fobbed off with a collapsed lung!

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Ebony - Posted on 28 November 2023

My brother was seen in Castle Place practice and the Dr said they could hear an air leak. With my 26 year old brothers history of a collapsed lung 8 months ago this was a massive concern. Dr sent my brother to Tiverton Hospital to have a X-Ray urgently. The receptionist said the X-ray was closed now. So we asked to be seen in urgent care as it was only 6pm and isnt due to close until 8pm. The receptionist said they were seeing any more patients and sent us to Exeter. No thought or consideration to the fact my brother could potentially have a reoccurring collapsed lung which he almost died from in March. With 1 in 3 chances of it happening again within 12 months. No one checked him, no urgency at all. Exeter hospital were disgusted that we were just sent to A&E and had to wait 1 hour 30 mins just to be triaged with a potential life threating condition. Awful awful service!!!!!!
