After calling 111 about our 6 month old baby. We was told to go to a&e where we was told that we had an appointment in 30 minutes time which was at 10pm. Upon arriving at the a&e with our 6 month old baby we still hadn’t been seen by anyone whatsoever by 2am. Which to me to keep a baby waiting that long after being told by 111 that we had an appointment is absolutely disgusting on behalf of Torbay hospital.

Went to A E at Torbay Hospital after being told to by 111 at 9.15 pm on Monday 13th May 2024 with chronic back hip and leg explained to them I had been suffering for 8 days was turned away after being triaged and told to go back home by a middle aged red haired nurse after I told her I was visiting my son who lives in Newton abbot I was told go back to chesterfield and consult my doctor has they could not help me very disappointed has I’m also in my 70s

I have RA and have had problems. Every time I email rheumatology they are very quick in replying and also so helpful and just lovely, even when they phone me. Such a great department. Well done everyone in Rheumatology...you are all amazing and thank you so much. Its very much appreciated.

I was admitted onto SRU, and the staff who were caring for me were all so lovely and intentive to my needs and others around me. They made me feel at ease when my anxiety was getting the better of me and kept me smiling even through the pain. Really grateful for everything they do 😊

I went into the day surgery unit and I cannot fault the level of care I received. Every member of staff I saw was so kind and friendly. I was well informed at all stages and made to feel relaxed and comfortable before surgery. Post surgery my care was excellent and the staff were so understanding and kind. Amazing - thank you so much.

I had an appointment at the Endoscopy Unit on 11th April and experienced excellent care from start to finish of the time I spent there. The four members of the team who carried out the procedure were faultless in every way. Truly I couldn't have had a better team of medical professionals. The screening practitioner explained everything, was understanding and reassuring, communicated well throughout the procedure, and the three nurses present were empathic and caring also. The way they all balanced patient care and professionalism was impressive and I'm grateful to them individually and as a team. The unit is comfortable and clean and the before and after procedure care was also excellent. A heartfelt thank you.

Having been sent to the AMU by my doctor who was worried I had a blood clot after a very long flight, I could not have had a better experience. I was seen immediately and blood tests and an ECG was done. During the time we were there we were treated exceptionally well. Offered food and drinks. All tests were done quickly. Medication was given to take home. I was given an appointment for the next day Saturday for a CT scan and results were phoned through to me. This has also been followed up with my GP. I cannot thank all the staff for being so professional and putting my mind at rest. Well done the AMU.

Had an appointment at Endocrinology on 8.4.2024. On time, lovely welcome from Registered Nurse who was very polite and reassuring. Very helpful consultant biochemist. I was given as much time as needed and felt listened to. Really positive experience

I was admitted as an emergency with chest pain early on Sunday 28th April following a telephone consultation with the out of hours service. When I arrived, I was expected and taken for an ECG followed by a rapid transfer to the catheter room where an angiogram was performed. I was then transferred to the coronary care unit. The whole process from walking through the Emergency Unit to the ward to the bed took less than 2 hours. Throughout I was not only treated with exemplary care but with good humour, cheerfulness and concern for my well-being. Fortunately, the outcome of the investigations did not require any major treatment but I continued to receive excellent care. As all the staff, in their varying capacities, contributed to this it seems invidious to single out individuals. I enjoyed seeing a happy team working together. They are all a great credit to your hospital. I would like however to mention the consultant cardiologist and two nurses who provided information and reassurance throughout my stay.

Had prostate surgery on Wednesday. The Urology team were absolutely marvellous. Wonderfully skilful, caring and gentle. Two days later I am feeling so much better. Very many thanks to you all.
