My wife passed away in June our experience was that the standard of food was not something that someone who was ill would find very appetizing they had3 attempts at doing a jacket potato all were inedible one was too hard the second was cold and uncooked the last attempt before she gave up hope of being able to eat this meal was also not cooked through while I was there which was over two weeks I saw quite a lot of food unbeaten and sent back also you couldn't get a sandwich without mayonnaise plastered all over it my wife didn't like any cream or mayo so struggled to eat the sandwiches I also thought they were not good the staff were excellent but there hands were tied when it came to the catering and not many of them used the hospital catering sorry if this review seems unkind but all of my family had the same view when someone is very ill they need a good appetizing meal yours truly p boot

Dear Mr Boot, thank you for sharing your feedback on the NHS website page and firstly please accept our sincere condolences for the loss of your wife. Your feedback is extremely important, however unfortunately the hospital is not managed by the Midlands Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (MPFT) and the concerns are related to the University Hospitals of North Midlands and would need to be directed to their NHS choices page for response. Thank you to all the staff that looked after me in hospital, also thank you to the staff that did my surgarie. I was very well kept in hoppital.

Went in for removal of lesion under general anaesthetic today, promoting, very efficient and staff were so caring and informative
