    Dermatology Department ... attended the department for a biopsy. Department busy but care and consideration given as I was quite nervous. Procedure completed with two nurses attending both took time to put me at ease. My husband had a fainting episode during the appointment .. out of character but an additional two staff appeared to help him. Biscuits and tea duly supplied. It's not staff that are broken it's the system. Special thanks to all staff members we are so lucky to have them.

    Came in for inguinal hernia repair, from the moment I was greeted at the door my apprehension disappeared as I immediately felt genuine care and compassion. All staff members on shift that morning contributed commendably to my relaxed mindset, including the light hearted chat in theatre ( prior to ‘ nodding off’).! Huge thanks to you all, you’re amazing.

    I went into the Wimborne (Victoria) MIU last week with what I thought was a sprained ankle. Nice welcome from reception then quickly called into MIU unit. After professional diagnosis including x-ray, turned out to be a multi fracture. Supplied with boot, crutches, both demonstrated, and referred me to fracture clinic who called next day. All staff were friendly and professional. Renewed my confidence in our NHS despite constant bad press. Thank you.

    I came to the MIU for a bad foot injury. I was seen almost immediately and every member of staff I met were all so lovely. All of the MIU and X Ray staff were just fabulous and I had a great experience. They were clear about what I needed to do and any next steps. Thank you!

    I had carpal tunnel decompression on June 28th at Wimborne hospital. I was contacted the day before and give some useful advice on what to bring with me which I found very helpful. On arrival the staff were welcoming friendly and professional. The department was bright modern and super clean. I was routinely identity checked as was the hand on which the procedure was carried out, no room given for mistakes. The staff took time to explain what was happening why and when which for me was important I was treated as a person not a number , my safety and dignity were protected. I left knowing I had been cared for by an A team the very best of the NHS I would like to thank all the Staff for their Care

    I had carpal tunnel surgery in the day surgery unit at Wimborne hospital. Having spent most of my career dealing with clinical trial patients in the NHS I feel I can provide an objective review. From the free parking outside the door to the relaxed greeting my experience was very good. The department was clean, with modern equipment. All staff introduced themselves and were friendly, competent, caring and respectful. My identity, and the procedure to be performed were checked thoroughly, and the process and possible side effects explained fully with ample opportunity for me to ask questions. The staff worked as a team with good rapport which helped to engender a quiet and calm environment, in stark contrast to bustling larger hospitals, which can be frantic. Despite this being my second carpal tunnel surgery I was quite nervous, but I found the care, kindness and the reassurance from the staff helped me relax, and the procedure was quick and painless. In summary, I found that I received excellent service from the hand clinic, from my initial consultation, making an appointment, reception at the hospital though to the procedure itself. I would have liked to have mentioned staff by name but I appreciate that this is not allowed in this review process. I hope that you could convey my gratitude to the staff for the excellent work they do, especially in the face of these difficult times.

    I received excellent care for minor injuries I incurred from a trip and fall whilst out on a walk. My concern was to ensure that further treatment wasn't required and received that assurance. The wounds were cleaned and re-dressed and I received a head injury assessment and received the all clear. I left greatly reassured.

    Google, the website and 111 said this centre was open. I went 6:30pm (they close at 8pm) and a sign on the door said "closed due to unforseen circumstances". Thinking it was temporary I went back the next day. Still closed despite website and Google stating open. Ended up in Bournemouth ED. No wonder people abuse the ambulance service and call them when they're not needed when centres like this are so unreliable

    Dear Anonymous, Due to sickness issues, we had to reallocate staff across our minor injuries unit (MIU) network on 28th May in order to keep the units open. Regrettably, this meant we had to close the Victoria Hospital MIU at 6 pm on that day, instead of the usual 8 pm. However, the unit was fully staffed and open from 8 am-8 pm the following day (29th May). We are very sorry the MIU was not able to treat you at the time you attended, and that the last-minute change of circumstance on 28th May was not reflected on our website. We apologise for any inconvenience this caused. If you require urgent care for injury or illness in the future, please call NHS 111 (or visit 111.nhs.uk) for an initial assessment. If you require face-to-face treatment, we will make an appointment for you at the appropriate location as soon as possible.     The Day Case nurses and all of the team provided outstanding care, yesterday. They were were kind , friendly & provided reassurance. Nothing was too much trouble They are all a credit to the NHS - such a great team . Thank you all
