I visited Ward 15 Day surgery Unit and the operation department on 28th July to have my gallbladder out, I couldn't have wished for a better service, i was very nervous and all the staff were very caring and helped. The Ward staff were excellent in there care, i had a few issues after my operation but nothing was no trouble for them, i cant remember all there names but the ward manager was absolutely brilliant in her care for me. In pre op and recovery the staff were brilliant to, specially to the young lad that stayed with me pre assessment and was also there when a woke up in recovery. I could have wished for a better service considering how nervous i was. So if your going to ward 15 you will be well looked after. So thank you.

I was passed around the houses between GP surgeries and sent to A and E when I didn't need to go there before being directed to Wansbeck urgent care centre. I was seen extremely quickly, the nurses were friendly, helpful, explained everything and super efficient, I was out with problem solved in about five minutes.

Had total hip replacement on 26/6/23. Ward 15 pre-op and ward 10 for overnight stay. All staff involved very friendly, caring and professional. Surgical team made me feel very at ease throughout. After care was exceptional and nothing was too much bother for the nursing tea and their students. A very positive experience from start to finish. Thanks to all involved.

I was admitted to ward 15 on the 20th June 2023 the staff were fantastic and very caring 100/100 for them the ward was very clean and pleasant , I had my operation and transferred to ward 10 bone ward this is a very small ward only 6 beds the staff were fab friendly and very caring I could not find one fault with the care and attention I received also a huge Thankyou to my Surgeon, Aneathetist and all theatre staff .

I was informed my relative was being transferred from Cramlington hospital to ward 1 at Wansbeck General Hospital . When accessing the webpage to find out information about Ward 1 / visiting times / and direct telephone landline to the ward , Ward 1 didn’t exist . Could this be updated ?

I was taken I’ll when on a work trip to Alnwick. I was very anxious about attending an Urgent Treatment Centre as I was concerned about long waiting times. I needn’t have worried. I was in and out, after being seen by a Nurse Practitioner and prescribed antibiotics for an infection in a salivary gland, in less than hour. Staff were lovely and the treatment worked. Thank you.

We visited Wansbeck walk in centre on a Saturday evening with my son who had hurt his foot. We were seen within less than half an hour by a lovely nurse and sent promptly for an x ray. Everything was explained clearly and they took great care of my son who was in a lot of pain. The whole trip lasted less than an hour before we were on our way home. We were given comprehensive after care advice before we left. The staff were all so kind and helpful. Keep up the great work!. Thankyou.

Just visited day surguery unit, my first surgery. I was nervous. It was well organised from the waiting room to be shown to beds to all personnel I interacted with. Everyone made me feel at ease and were just dead canny. All staff I interacted with were just open and lovely to talk with while being efficient and professional, my nurses, surgeon, anesthetist, student nurses, stats checkers just everyone. Honestly, thank you so much for all your work and the manner in which you deliver your work is just commendable.

I found the Consultant I spoke to very unhelpful and dismissive. The appointment lasted about 1 minute as the consultant needed to be somewhere else. Disappointing as I waited 6-months for that appointment.
