Review titled Care not good
Rated 1 star out of 5

Sadly the overall care was poor, both personal and from a therapeutic point of view. It became clear by week 4 that my mother was not going to receive any rehab whatsoever, just encouragement to reach the very low bar required for patients to go home and live independently (at time of writing no care at home was available to be provided at home on discharge). I think for me the most disheartening thing my mother related was the request by one of the staff that my mother didn’t drink after 6pm so she would not need to go to the loo. This suggested to an elderly woman just recovering from her 7th UTI this year! I will say the place is spotless, however my mother not so much! Just one shower in 3 weeks, because I asked several times she has now had 2 showers in 2 days, the one yesterday at 5.45am! The staff like the patients to go to bed at 5.30pm so I guess that’s not unreasonable…
