Attended the Endoscopy unit again, on a Saturday for a Cystoscopy. Again, the staff were very caring, and the department very calm. I felt in safe hands. Thank you.

Review titled A good place.

I attended for a Colonoscopy this morning (Saturday!)and just wanted to comment on the experience. This is the 2nd one I've had here, the first not being my best experience for personal reasons. For this reason I was very anxious. After voicing my concerns, I was put at ease by all the staff. The doctor was very kind, and explained everything along the way. Whilst it will never be my best activity, I will not worry quite as much next time. The whole department has an air of calm about it and it is very clean and tidy. Thank you, N.H.S and everyone involved.

Review titled Amazing Staff
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Michelle Gilligan - Posted on 05 March 2025
Today I attended the bloods clinic on McGregor ward with my daughter, she was very nervous about having her bloods taken, the staff were very patient with her but when still wouldn’t calm down, they went to the ward to get a play support worker to talk to her and help calm her down. The play worker, was amazing, she calmed her down and managed to get her to have her bloods taken very calmly. They went above and beyond to help.

Attended the new Pre-op dept and received super care, very attentive nurse who guided me through the process and listened to my concerns over pain relief. Very reassuring. Also the occupational therapy lady was very helpful.

Review titled Excellent, upbeat team performance
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Alan Garnett - Posted on 24 March 2025
I spent two days in Thomas Ward having knee replacement surgery. I am 84 and found the procedure an exacting experience. Every nurse I came in contact with was positive and considerate and I wish to record my thanks and admiration for the quality of the care I received. I was privileged to see the NHS at its very best.

Review titled Friendly Care
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Thirza Denervaux - Posted on 15 February 2025
I was not looking forward to a somewhat invasive procedure but I was immediately put at ease by the relaxed and friendly but obviously efficient staff. And after I was not dismissed but given a cup of tea and enquiries as to how I would get home although I had no mobility problems.

Review titled Wonderful care at Warwick Hospital- Thank you
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by John MacMahon Mahon - Posted on 12 January 2025
My husband, was brought into Warwick H early on Wed 8 Jan by ambulance with a temp of 40.2% and a urinary infection. That day Warwick was on TV and having so many flu victims arriving that they were struggling to cope. We were taken to Cubicle 5 and treated so well and with great care and around 5 pm he was transfered to Nicholas Ward. He was so well treated and looked after there and on Friday they scanned him and found that it was his appendix that was leaking nasties into his tum that had set off the infection. This was around lunch time on Friday. By around 15.00 all the paper work for an emergency removal of his appendix was completed and kind man wheeled him up to the Major surgery theatre. He also was kind enough to show me how to find car park A! The wonderful clever surgeons operated that afternoon on my 83 year old husband and he was then sent to Hatton Ward where he remains. When I visited yesterday I was not sure how I would find my husband! To my amazement he was sitting up in bed eating a three course lunch and he finished the lot! The consultant and the clever surgeon who managed to operate via key hole surgery on an old patient deserve a big thank you. This was just incredible treatment and, as a family, we are all so very grateful to everybody at Warwick Hospital. A big thank you and 5 stars xx

Review titled Well looked after
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Andrea Ciampa - Posted on 16 January 2025
Accident and Emergency excellently run service, staff very caring, and professional. Although they were overwhelmed with patients, they made sure we were all looked after, and attended to. The whole team from carers to high level, were extremely thorough, and very professional. They went over and above in my opinion, even making everyone a hot drink, if we wanted one.

Review titled Superb Hospital
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Colin Brighton - Posted on 05 February 2025
I was admitted to Warwick hospital on 16th December with a severe case of respiratory syncitial virus. Given the fact that I am 88 years old with several underlying health issues, I came close to losing my life and it was only the superb care and attention I received that saved me. A & E quickly diagnosed the problem, provided prompt and effective treatment and gave me the best possible care. Just as importantly, they ensured my close family were kept informed of my condition and progress. I was then transferred to Beauchamp Ward where I ontinued to receive the best possible attention from medical and nursing staff who at all times were professional, caring, empathetic and supportive and whose exdellent care was instrumental in enabling me to leave hospital and spend Christmas with my grandchildren. At a time when the BHS is subject to a great deal of criticism, it is a pleasure to be able to comment positively about an excellent hospital.
