Rated 5 stars out of 5

I was admitted A&E on Saturday 2 March 2024. I’d just like to say that all the staff were absolutely amazing. They couldn’t do enough to help. Everything was done with a smile and kindness. I received 5 star treatment. Thank you NHS.

  2. Review titled Caring & friendly staff

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Lucy - Posted on 28 March 2024

Although my colonoscopy was obviously not an enjoyable procedure, it was made as comfortable for me as possible. The staff work incredibly hard in a busy environment, whilst being very empathetic and attentive to nervous patients, friendly and caring. Thank you for all you do, it is appreciated.

Throughout the process, from reception to procedure and recovering afterwards, I was treated with friendliness, kindliness and efficiency. It made an uncomfortable experience as gentle as possible! I was very appreciative.

The endoscopy team on that day were all excellent. The nurse that looked after me and discharged me was excellent. Everyone was kind and caring.

  5. Review titled Efficient Process

Rated 5 stars out of 5

From arrival at reception through to the end of the process the staff were polite, respectful and efficient. The procedure I underwent was extremely effective and painless. I would like to commend all the staff in the Urology team that I came across for their care and consideration. My only complaint was having to wait 5 months.

  6. Review titled A & E Saturday night - Excellent Service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I fell on stairs and gashed my head, went to A&E at Warwick to get it checked and sorted .I was dreading it, especially on Saturday night at 9pm. I need not have worried - I was seen, triaged, cleaned up and got 16 very neat stitches, then CT scan - all within 1 hour - amazing service. CT scan results took about 1.5 hours to get the all clear. Many thanks to the A&E team especially the nurses who were great. You deserve to be rewarded for your service. NHS gets lots of bad press so I thought I would praise them instead !!

  7. Review titled Great service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I recently attended Warwick Hospital for a surveillance colonoscopy. All staff I had dealings with were, without exception, professional, caring, empathetic and ensured that I fully understood all aspects of the procedure. Thank you for the great care and attention afforded to me. Something that could quite easily have become overwhelming once in the treatment room was helped enormously by your kindness and reassurances.

  8. Review titled Excellent care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I have been based in the Medical Day Case Unit for the last week receiving ongoing infusions for my condition. It has been quite a struggle both physically and mentally to get through but all the nurses on this ward have been amazing and have looked after me so well. They have tried so many different ways to help me and have been so lovely and supportive. I couldn't recommend this ward highly enough. Thank you!

  9. Review titled Appalling treatment of autistic patient (urology)

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 13 February 2024

Due to all hospitals around me being inept, I had read good reports of the service at Warwick and opted to get referred here to urology in the hope that for once, the NHS would provide for the support needs for me as an autistic patient. Sadly, Warwick proved they are just as bad as the rest. Not wishing to make the 90 mile journey for an early morning appointment, I opted to drive down the day before and stay in a hotel so I could ensure I would be not stressed and fully prepared for my appointment at 10. I arrived at the hospital outpatients at about 9.30am and booked in at reception and was sent to wait in a main waiting area which I did not want to do as I had requested a reasonable adjustment to wait in a private room as I get anxious in main waiting rooms as they often get busy and people are buzzing around everywhere. After being left for 20 minutes like this, I was eventually spoken to and offered a private room to wait in. Just before 10am, the lady came back to the room and told me that my appointment would be delayed by at least an hour due to the urology consultant being needed in theatre. This was unexpected for me as I was not informed prior to booking this appointment that the urologist would be on call on the the day of the appointment and call outs are something that frequently happen. If I had access to this information prior to making my appointment, I would not have risked this journey and all the stress it entailed. I was asked if I was happy to wait an hour or so and I was not able to due to this sudden and unexpected change being challenging for me to deal with and eliciting intense emotions that I have dysregulation of. As a direct result of poor, short sighted management and not being given adequate or accurate information, I had no option but to leave and go home without being seen for a condition that I had been distressed with for some time. The lack of understanding of autism or any sort of adequate training about autism from this hospital Trust and how it can affect patients is appalling and not acceptable. It is also potentially discriminatory. This hospital is not inclusive, does not demonstrate support or understanding for people from diverse backgrounds and fails in equality metrics. Avoid this hospital if you want to have your needs met as a person with impairments.

  10. Review titled Great Service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Daniel Howe - Posted on 15 February 2024

Wife turned out to have acute sciatica, we were in and out in 1.5 hrs. Really great service. One grumble would be the front desk is plastered with notes telling patience’s not to ask about how long the wait is. It’s a really key metric for the customer and this didnt give the greatest welcome. I Still get the vibe that the customers are considered to be quite an irritant by some staff.
