  1. Review titled Amazing service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I contacted my GP practice (Priory Medical Centre) using the Online Consultation facility at 08:30 on Tuesday, 10 . I received a telephone call requesting further information regarding my symptoms at 10:30. I was informed that an urgent request for a gastroscopy would be sent to Warwick Hospital's Endoscopy Unit. I received a call from the Endoscopy Unit at lunchtime the same day offering me an appointment for 14:30 on Thursday, 12 September. The procedure was carried out and I was back home by 16:45. I am delighted to say that nothing abnormal was discovered. One hears many complaints about the NHS these days saying things like the NHS is broken but I don't believe that my experience could have been bettered. The staff at the Endoscopy Unit, from the receptionist to the nursing an medical staff, treated me with kindness and respect and everything about the procedure was explained and I had the opportunity to ask questions at all junctures. I would just like to say an enormous thank you to all concerned. Your professionalism is a credit to the NHS in Warwick.

  3. Review titled Endoscopy Unit

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I attended for a cystoscopy examination on 3 September. My overall impression was that the Endoscopy Unit was well organised with all the staff busy and motivated - and very pleasant and helpful to deal with. Sadly, I'm not permitted to name individuals so all I can say is that the examination was carried out carefully and thoroughly, with the minimum of discomfort and in a very friendly way and I was kept fully informed throughout - and subsequently by letter. The supporting nurses were kind and considerate and made me laugh, which was so good. Thank you to all concerned.

I went into accident and having fainting fits. I Refered to a&e and was seen immediately have anxiety issues I was put at ease as it became apparent there was a serious issue. Hours later I had a pacemaker fitted. The professional behaviour of all concerned was outstanding. I felt very much cared for and looked after. I can't thank the ward staff, doctors and everyone in the Coronary Cath Lab. You will always be in my heart ❤

I attended the hospital recently with a severe case of dehydration and very high blood pressure. Although I was in quite a poor condition the staff were very helpful and understanding. Thanks to everyone’s help I was able to go home after about 36 hours. A big thank you to all in A&E and Olen Ward.

  10. Review titled Incredible service from the moment go

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Cara Chambers - Posted on 07 July 2024

I attended hospital last night as I am pregnant and my fetal movements had reduced. It was obviously a scary time for us. From the moment go the receptionist was kind, warm and personable. She explained the monitoring process and I felt like she really enjoyed her job and interacting with people. Coming down to monitoring I was seen by a lovely nurse who decided to admit me for further monitoring as a precaution. It was a 2 hour wait until the next text and she made sure I had adequate drinks and snacks and a comfortable bed to catch some rest in. She explained what she was looking for and why she had admitted me and even explained the situation to my Husband who we sent home to get some proper rest. She was happy with the 2nd round of monitoring but wanted some extra time just to make extra sure. I was happy to oblige and felt that me and my unborn son were in safe hands. Upon discharge I decided to get an Uber home and the nurse ensured I got into it OK which was over and above, but also quite daunting as a lone woman in the early hours of the morning. At no point was I made to feel a hypochondriac, or a drain of resources. The staff were obviously busy, but I was met with nothing but kindness, politeness and professionalism. Previously my experiences of NHS practices have been mixed, but last night gave me a sneak peak, and reassured me of the care I'd be under when I give birth in a few months. Thank you to those I encountered on the labour ward. You're all stars!
