On the afternoon of Tuesday 28 March I attended for a colonoscopy. Any anxiety I had felt was quickly allayed by the thoughtfulness, care and professionalism shown to me from the moment I arrived. My most sincere gratitude goes to the Endoscopy Unit team from reception to the clinical staff for the way in which they explained the procedure and always put me at my ease. I could not have wished for better care.

Came into surgical assessment unit as instructed by doctor but was turned away by a very snobby nurse. Go to a and e she said we are closed, whilst trying to explain I had to wait for my husband to get home to take me. I’m extremely ill and they didn’t care. Not one bit of care at all my gallbladder is trying to explode.

Staff treat you like cattle, I attended A&E but was sent to the minor injuries unit,the doctor had little understanding of my ongoing condition and even wrote down ankle sprain on my discharge letter which is completely false. I had my navicular bone removed 10 years ago and have had problems ever since, my pain and swelling is getting worse and I'm at the point where the pain is so bad I would easily opt to have my foot amputated and this non caring and rushing doctor put down ankle sprain.How can swelling,infection and arthritis which you treated me for and showed up on my xray be called an ankle sprain.?This letter is forwarded to my General Practitioner, how is he supposed to follow up my care if you put false information. I also asked for pain relief and never got it.

My son ended up on the children’s ward for a few nights. The staff were amazing and so attentive. Really made us feel comfortable in a hard situation. They are amazing and work so hard

From the moment i arrived at the Endoscopy unit for bladder check i received first class care and everything was explained to me by the receptionist, a calming and caring person.... this went right through to all clinical staff they were so honest and caring throughout the procedure and after ...you are all angels and work in a totally stressful environment,,shame the government dont see this ...many thanks for all your help and support over the last 3 years i owe everyone so much..

“Thank you to all nurses in Beaumont Ward for everything you are doing for patients! You are amazing!” These people work continuously and often don t have a break for hours. For those patients who prove to be difficult, remember nurses and doctors are there to help and not to be given hard time! They are paid peanuts and still show up to give you support! Appreciate the help and be considerate.

Visited the ENT department this morning for an appointment. My first ever hospital appointment. The care and quality of the service was absolutely fantastic. A thorough examination, wonderful consultant and staff, and clearly explained findings. Can’t praise you all enough. Thank you very much.

My experience of the endoscopy department was positive. I was warmly greeted and well informed of what would happen during the appointment by the desk administrator. All of the medical staff that were involved with my endoscopy were friendly and made sure I was comfortable and well looked after. This department is a credit to the hospital. Thank you for your care.

Had small operation ,but amazing consultant looked further into it arranged MRI . Had appointment come in July for operation ,but unfortunately l had COVID . So rescheduled soon. Doctor explained so well everything l also have Rheumatologist,Dermatologist,and lastly Orthopaedic all great people and the. Nursing staff plenty of them. Thanks
