Review titled Wonderful care
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Pauline - Posted on 25 June 2024
My mum was transferred to Ward 11,, West Heath Hospital for rehab, following her discharge from Good Hope. The staff on reception were very welcoming and greeted the family with a smile! The staff in Bat 4 especially, were very caring, patient and welcoming. The food was excellent and it was good to see the staff encouraging patients to eat and drink. The bay was clean and spacious and it was lovely for the patients to be able to see outside, due to the full windows. I had cause to speak with the pharmacist and the physio team who kept me updated on my mums progress and aftercare and again, were very professional and I felt that nothing was too much trouble! My mum was kept clean and tidy and even got her hair set! Initially I was concerned about the travel from where I lived but it was well worth it to meet such dedicated, caring staff. Thank you to you all - you are a credit to the profession!

Review titled Ward 14 - Utmost Care & Compassion
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Jomaurice - Posted on 24 April 2024
Absolutely wonderful staff. My Dad was treated with such care and respect. Nurses/Carers always showed such empathy and patience. My Dads personal care could not be faulted, he was always kept clean and one particular member of staffSam always took time to support Dad with showering which made a massive difference to Dads wellbeing and comfort and nursegaynor was so very caring, friendly and happy. Thankyou Ward 14 for giving us the peace of mind of knowing Dad was given the very best care.

Review titled Wonderful service and environment
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by L Manders - Posted on 08 January 2024
My mother was on ward 11 and 14 - This is how the NHS service should be run, kind expert nursing staff, clean and calm environment, treating patients as individuals, it has been a long time since i have seen a ward sister take the time to walk around the bays speaking to patients when she came on shift. Nurses engaging elderly patients. - spotlessly clean, plenty of room on bays, just absolutely wonderful. Free parking, subsidised cafe food. West Heath is a blue print for NHS excellence. It can be done even in these times of NHS austerity. Quite a stark comparison to Gloucester NHS where parking can cost in excess of £10.00, coffee £4.00 - busy cramped ward, over worked nurses. Well done West Heath staff.- Your dedication and excellent Service to your patients is a credit and a blue print for success for the NHS, My mother was treated so well, and this was so helpful and reassuring to the family and herself during a very difficult time.

Review titled District Nursing Team
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Theresa Morton - Posted on 19 January 2024
My husband had complex needs and was reluctant to engage in care. The nurses were wonderful in ensuring his needs were met as far as possible, and showed great compassion and courage each time they visited. They gave me peace of mind, and helped make the last few months of his life better quality for the whole family. We are truly grateful.

Firstly. There are not enough department choices at the beginning of the review. My wife has been travelling on a regular basis to the Heath from Ceredigion for the last year to the Immunology dept.May i say that we cannot praise this dept enough what a fantastic team they cannot do enough for you, they have been so fantastic and caring towards my wife.Lately the immunology consultant has referred her to the Dermatology dept as they cannot seem to find a problem to her condition. That's where the problem starts. My wife has been ringing and ringing the dermatology dept and leaving messages but they do not respond only once she got a reply from someone who didn't really care all she got out of her was 12 months waiting. I would of thought as she has been referred from a consultant to another consultant in another dept they would act straight away.Obliviously not ??? I think Dermatology dept needs someone who knows what they are doing to run that dept it seems to be a bit of a shambles .She has now got an appointment in a private clinic to see if she can get a diagnosis on her illness from a Dermatologist as she is very ill and needs to get to the bottom of this problem . (before she gets to the point of doing something silly )Yet again we can't praise Immunology staff enough. What a fantastic team.Wish every dept was as caring as them.
