Review titled Fast and efficient
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Ms Rutter - Posted on 16 July 2024
Went to A&E with infected hand at 8am. Handful of people waiting, friendly knowledgeable reception staff, lots of intense cleaning going on, very fresh. Waiting a whole ten minutes before being taken in by a senior nurse who gave me a tetanus jab, cleaned the wound, iodine dressing and antibiotics. Gave me advice and I was on my way. What more can anyone ask for?

Early hours of yesterday I fell in bathroom. It was an awful experience. My daughter called an ambulance. From the two wonderful paramedics of the ambulance service to the technicans, nurses and doctors I received great professional care. I was diognised of an urinery infection after a series of tests and eventually sent home. I would like to thank them all. You can be proud of your staff.

Review titled Nurses on E&A need more training
by Adrian - Posted on 18 June 2024
Today 18 of June i was start taking shower around 23.30 and I was feel discomfort on anus area when I was start washing that are I was feel that something is sticking out from my anus and I start feel more discomfort and pain. So I took uber and ASAP i whent to westmidlesex hospital A&E that was on midnight when I was register I mention about my symptoms and that Iam on maintenance for my Lymphoma stage 3, and also that I have neuropathy. Just because on that Iam on high risk of infection because of lymphoma i should Ben put as priorities patient. What I heard from nurse ?? That I will be seen when i will be and there is lots of patients like me. Hmm so I ask her again nicely how long that will be take to see doctor and iam in pain and I refuse take pain killers because they will not help me. I couldn’t sit because a pain in anus are and I was standing in pain for next 3 hours. When I came it was around 30/40 patients when they ask me to see doctor it was just few. Doctor was see me and I had hemoroid who was pop outside. He manage to put him inside and when I ask him about if I was prioritise he sad I should but when explain him situation he was pulite and clearly on my side that they should put me on priority. Unluck for nurse who was make assessment she was inside next to computer because ther was no one new. I was nicely ask her why did she didn’t put me on prioritised respond was I wasn’t had a fever so ther was a lot of patient like me and she don’t feel like she done something wrong. So I ask for her manager to speak to him and he sad yeah I got lymphoma but no fever etc so that Iam in massive pain and sometimes is sticking out of my anus and iam in high risk of people i don’t need to be prioritised. Shame for this nurse staff today on duty At A&E department. They need more training not only on what they need to do but also how to listen the patients and resolve the issue not putting down the person to be feel like rubbish. If you can and have serious illness and need go to A&E pls choice different hospital.

Review titled Wonderful care
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Dr Kym Morton - Posted on 27 May 2024
My Mother , 95, was in the Crane ward awaiting discharge. She was there 10 days. The care she received was exceptional. All the nursing, catering and cleaning teams were very caring and made sure she was as comfortable as possible. The ward was welcoming , warm and friendly. The food was delicious and the numerous cups of tea for patients and visitors very welcome. The ward was busy but not noisy, efficient but not uncaring. They are an amazing dedicated team.

My daughter had an operation at the Sunshine Day Unit and the care we received was incredible. The nurses and doctors were so efficient and caring. It was amazing to have a play specialist support my 4 year old during the process and it really helped. Brilliant care thank you.

I was rushed into hospital for emergency abdominal surgery. I cannot thank everyone involved in my care from arriving to surgery to being admitted. The one to one care I received straight after my surgery in the icu was absolutely outstanding I actually felt like I had an angel taking care of me and never leaving my side right down to even fixing my hair stroking my face I will treasure that moment not that I remember a lot of it due to the trauma ( I wish I knew her name) she was an angel that’s the only way to describe, and I hope you will find out who she is because she needs my deepest sincerest thanks that would just satisfy me if I knew this could be done. It was 9th may morning time when I came around. Thank you to Richmond ward for the dedication in care to absolutely everyone and also the angels in Osterley ward again outstanding care. This is the 3 rd time this hospital has literally saved my life and thanks to the NHS our wonderful NHS I am here to write this and every single one of you deserve this heartfelt thanks and each and everyone of you should be so so proud of what you do I know I am proud of you. Thank you
