  1. Review titled Amazing care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Joanne Axten - Posted on 12 December 2023

All staff brilliant. Very clean, friendly staff - nurses and doctors. Was shown genuine kindness and support. One complaint was the 4 hour wait for meds in discharge lounge, but was well looked after and again the kind staff were so helpful and communicative

Emergency dept assessment within 1 hr of accidental fall at home. Busy Friday afternoon, yet care was outstanding, caring, empathic. Exemplary treatment by medical and nursing staff. I am a retired doctor and would be proud to have been a part of such a team.

  3. Review titled Improving, but still a long way to go

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Mr Jeremy Telfer - Posted on 27 December 2023

I have a lot of varied experiences with this hospital and none of them are great. We only have one child because of the trauma and cruel treatment we experienced having that child. My life was saved a few years later when I got sepsis from a nail in my leg, after refusing to leave unless treatment was given. I am grateful for that. My mother begged for her life in this hospital, but it didn't work. I'm forbidden for sharing the details of that here. My father had a problem with his catheter yesterday and needed expert assistance. After his previous 12 hr experience in the waiting room without being able to pass urine he said 'I'd rather die at home than wait in Wexham A&E again!' He waited until he was in agony so we could get an ambulance, as previously advised by the hospital staff. He was fixed and back home and being able to eat and drink again in 5 hrs, thank you and bless you. Having endured it myself, the A&E waiting room is quite a hellish place. My advice is take headphones and sustenance because your wait will be long. I only have respect and admiration for the staff, who have to operate in this outdated and inefficient facility. The nurses especially are fantastic. They are mostly caring and lovely people.

Dear Mr Telfer, Thank you taking the time to share your feedback. While I am delighted that your extended family’s most recent experience with Frimley Health was positive – reading your observations about the staff who looked after your father was reassuring that our staff do successfully work together to give the best care to our patients – I was sorry to hear about some of the other experiences you (collectively) have had. All I can do is apologise on behalf of the Trust and reassure you that our teams do work hard to try to deliver the best care they can to all of our patients all of the time. Thank you again for you feedback – I will share your comments appropriately with colleagues internally. Kind regards, Alex Jackson, Patient Experience Manager, Frimley Health Foundation Trust

  4. Review titled Wonderful staff and hospital

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 10 January 2024

I had to visit first A&E for an acute bout of cholecystitis and was admitted for 8 days. Although very busy on the day had the greatest of care from extremely friendly and dedicated staff in every department encountered (I stayed on Ward 2). A few weeks later I attended day surgery for gall bladder removal and again, had brilliant care. Best wishes to all involved. What a well run hospital.

  5. Review titled Thank you!

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Walked in with dislocated shoulder last Saturday after a rugby injury. Reception staff, radiographers, nursing staff and doctors were all fantastic. Streamed straight through to X-ray and then to Resus for reduction. Quick to provide analgesia. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Thank you!

  8. Review titled Great support & care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 17 July 2024

I visited Wexham Park 3 weeks post partum with intense pain in my upper abdomen, vomiting blood, high temperature. I waited in A&E for no longer than 10 minutes before being seen and checked over, and then admitted within hours with Pancreatitis caused by gallstones. I was taken to a ward fairly quickly, being made comfortable with pain relief. I had a 2 week stay in which they removed my gallbladder at the end, and I was home 2 days later. Unfortunately I didn't know but I had an infection on my pancreas, causing me to be admitted another month later. Again, seen extremely quickly and admitted back onto Ward 11. This time, a 3 week stay, spending Christmas & New years in hospital - the first with my baby, and I was unable to spend it with her. I cannot fault the care of the consultants, and all of the nurses who looked after me during both stays. Knowing I was away from my newborn baby, they made the stay somewhat slightly bearable. I was cared for in the best way I felt I could be and I cannot thank any of them enough for helping me through a real tough time. I am only a 25 year old girl, who never expected to endure that post partum but I feel extremely lucky to have been admitted and seen to in the way I was at Wexham. I had previously visited Stoke Mandeville with the same symptoms 3 times prior (twice while pregnant) and dismissed each time , being made to feel silly. So thank you Wexham, and the people who work for you.

  9. Review titled No Communication

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 03 October 2023

I was diagnosed with Lung Cancer 8 days ago. No further communication. The staff at actue assessment at the time and a week later when I chased said they can not tell me anything further as it is not their field of expertise. I chased today and was told my case was "in clinic" when I asked what that meant I was told that it meant it was still being looked at and I would probably hear sometime this week. They already have the results of the tests carried out last week and have not asked for any more. I can only presume that there is nothing that can be done so there is no urgency for the medical team to do anything. I can understand that, but I have limited time and I do have lots of decisions to make and feel that I can best do that when I have information about my condition, I would like them to share that with me. I am very sad that 8 days after having been given this diagnosis I have no further information. This is also negatively impacting those people that I have told.

  10. Review titled Very slow service

by Anonymous - Posted on 23 October 2023

I was referred to this hospital to undergo further tests and scanning for two issues I reported to my GP. It's been a whole month and I haven't received an appointment date for the scan and two weeks that I have been waiting to hear from them regarding my test results. My issue keeps getting worse and there is nothing I can do.
