Been waiting for an appointment for almost 2 years. Received notification that I had a telephone appointment at 10am on Monday 15 January 2024. Waited in all day with my mobile next to me and guess what? Nothing! Not even a cancellation notice. Disgraceful service. Nobody has been in touch. So very disappointed, after waiting so long. Must try harder NHS. If I had a cancellation I would have accepted it, but no, absolutely nothing.

Hi Jacqueline, We are sorry that your appointment did not go ahead, which must have been very frustrating, especially as you waited all day for the call to come and have had such a long wait to receive an appointment. We would like to apologise because this is not the standard of service we aim to offer and patients should be informed if clinics are not going ahead. Please contact the number on your appointment text, if this was included, and we will rebook you as a matter of priority if you have not already had a new appointment. We would like to assure your concerns are being taken seriously, however, it is difficult to investigate your specific concerns without any further detail and patient identification. It is for that reason we would welcome you to make contact directly with the Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) to discuss your concerns. If you could contact PALS on 0161 276 8686 or by e-mailing pals@mft.nhs.uk quoting reference number PO24/00042 they will be able to discuss this with you. As soon as we have further details, we will review what went wrong on this day and provide you with an account of what happened as well as reviewing how to avoid this happening again. Thank you. Visited the Treatment Centre twice, on both occasions staff were extremely polite, kind and caring to my very nervous husband. The hospital itself is very clean and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble from the staff who work there, from the consultants to the admin to the cafe and security staff . Great experience of the nhs at its best.

I had a small operation on Sunday the staff were all absolutely amazing very professional at what they do I couldn’t be more grateful they talked to me throughout the operation they explained what was happening and kept checking on how I was doing I felt a little light headed after the operation through laying down they gave me a biscuit and bottle of water and put a fan on me to cool me down and wouldn’t let me leave until they were 100% sure I was ok thank you very much

I had a cataract assessment on the 5th July and due to a cancellation. I had my cataract surgery on the 6th July. Both the assessment & surgery first class professional services and advise all aspects of the procedure and surgery was given. I was made to feel very comfortable and made to feel relaxed and all questions were answered. The surgery and after care and advice second to none and the care was excellent. Thank you to all the staff in the cataract department and help with my disability of deafness to the care shown and given to me.

I was incredibly pleased with the care I received at Withington Hospital. After sustaining an injury at work, the plastics team were able to see me the next morning and I had my surgery the same afternoon. My surgeon was very professional and out me at ease. He performed the procedure with care and skill. The after care was excellent; I was seen once a week for the following three weeks to make sure I was getting on okay. My appointments were always bang on schedule. The medical team were extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Everyone involved in my care here was absolute pleasure to deal with.

I visited Withington Hospital for an MRI scan last week and I have to thank the wonderful team of NHS Radiographers. From my arrival and throughout they were so friendly and so helpful, taking the time to explain everything. They all made this experience for me less stressful and less anxious. I think they deserve a big thank you for being a fantastic team and for looking after me on the day.

After several recent visits to the physio therapy department, meetings with the doctor and today’s appointment for an MRI scan, I am totally impressed with the knowledge,professionalism and caring sensitivity of all staff in all departments, including reception staff, at all times. I went for urology assessment 14/4/2023 in that department. The nurse doing the assessment could not have been nice no embarrassment she made it a matter of fact procedure. Not a very pleasant experience for an old man but she went out of her way to make it easy. This is the gold standard for the NHS all the staff were great. I'm only sorry I can only give them 10 out of 10.

Our appointment was cancelled a few times and rearranged but once our appointment was confirmed, we went and the clinic wasn’t on. The lady on reception was extremely apologetic and very helpful. When we eventually got an appointment and went to it, the staff were fantastic. Every interaction with us was friendly and fun. Even when there was a more serious incident happening somewhere else, they didn’t let it affect the way they were with us. They clearly had a lot to do but they all had smiles on their faces. My son was happy chatting to the doctor, nurses and security guard, they were all very friendly with him.
