    I had an endoscopy and I was very nervous of this all the staff, nurses and doctor were very reassuring and made me feel at ease before and after the procedure. They offered me sedation and a numbing spray. During the procedure I had mild discomfort but again the staff were amazing and helped me stay calm to finish the procedure. Can’t say good enough things about the place and staff Thank you very much

    No sedation offered for endoscopy had to ask. As siin as sedation was out un so was the camera down my throat. Felt everything. Was then rushed out with paperwork with no sit down offered or drink of water. They opened the door to the other end of the car park where I was left to go find my husband and the car. Then the sedation kicked in! Shocking service. They were so rushed. Would never go back to that practice again

    I had an colonoscopy and endoscope performed by Beacon Medical. The paperwork before hand is poor, a text message confirming the procedure but nothing telling me how to prepare, a letter did arrive the following day, with some instruction in but I ended up having to google how to take the meds and permitted foods as details are sketchy. The text message should reference the letter as I had no idea how to get the medication (they send a prescription - I had to go to 3 separate chemists to hunt down the meds) and didn't have long to do this. I was encouraged to do the procedure without sedation. This was a huge mistake as the pain was on a par with childbirth (which I have done with no pain relief, not through choice). Throughout the proceedure and afterwards, the doctor barely made eye contact me and didn't give any explanation of the result (colonoscopy) but the nurses on site are amazing and took the time to check I was ok, and explain the result. The Gastroscopy to check if I have coeliac, was much less painful and a series of biopsies were taken, six weeks later I still don't have any results. This was a procedure subbed out by the NHS, I would have expected the results by now. Be prepared to wait it seems.

    I had a text message from Beacon asking me to call to arrange an appointment. I’m abroad for 2 weeks and unable to telephone. I have emailed them twice to try and arrange an appointment but no response. I’ve now been sent another text asking me to call them. Unless they respond I will now have to wait until I get home to book a date and I have lost 2 weeks in my treatment. Telephone shouldn’t be the only way to communicate with these people.
