I got an appointment with the dermathologist for a possible skin cancer, waited for 3 months for my appointment and when I got there on the day of the appointment, it turned that they cancelled it without letting me know or giving any notice or even did not try to phone me. This health company is such a mess and I am very dissappointed with it. The hospital did not even try to find a solution like giving an early appointment or at least pay for all the transport to the hospital given the long distance from my house and the big amount of effort that it is to get there for me. Instead, they just stick to the "you will need to make a new appointment". Now starting again in the waiting list for a new appointment somewhere else... and very stressed given the matter of urgence of this possible health issue. Awful experience.

My partner recently stayed at the Duchy for a knee operation. The surgeons were great, and the service was rather good also. However the food left something to be desired considering the price tag. At lunch time we heard commotion from a nearby room, which we later learned was a distressed patient who had found a wasp in his lunch. This shook up my partner and so I opted to bring in sandwiches for his evening meal. On top of that the breakfast the following day was cold.

I would definitely recommend The Priory Hospital, Edgbaston, Birmingham. The level of service was excellent right from the receptionist, porter, the catering manager, nurses and my excellent consultant. I could not fault them. Hospital was very clean. I was in the gynaecology department.

I received the bill for treatment and paid straight away. I have now received an email chasing payment. I rang thinking this is a mistake as I had check my account and the payment using their online payment system had been taken 3 weeks previously! In the call they said I hadn’t made a payment and that I needed to provide them with proof!! I have explained that I used their system and that that they should be able to trace this- this want good enough and it was down to me to prove I had made the payment! They also asked for my bank card again which I refused as I wasn’t sure they would not take another payment from it! I provided the amount my details and the date the payment left my bank account and asked for them not to contact me for payment again. Not the professional service I expected and I am sure that I’m not the only one if their own system is flawed.

Used the Priory, B'ham for ankle surgery. Procedure went well, consultant excellent, nursing care and general staff were fine. Supporting admin and billing was, and continues to be, inadequate and inaccurate - still trying to get payment issues resolved, as Circle don't seem able (willing?) to resolve outstanding invoices against payments received. Will avoid using in future.

very professional and caring service,operation for shoulder replace ment went very well, excellent aftercare food standards need to be improved a lot e.g. scrambled egg very dry, worst i have ever had and vegetable curry hardly any ingredients. bread was exceptionally thick cut. coffee and hot chocolate lovely. central heating noisy kept banging. moved to another room but not much improvement could not get any sleep during night. terrible side effects from synthetic morphine tablets

Nursing care is appalling, complete lack of knowledge pre operative and post operative, no escalation of care if you become unwell please reconsider if you are thinking of having surgery here

Referred from NHS due to a leg/back issue not being solved by physio. Huddersfield Hospital was my closest option to go to. 8 weeks until an appointment. Attended appointment. Due to be seen at 10am. Wasn’t seen until 10:50am. Was seen for less than 2 minutes and told I need a scan and I was to go home and wait for a call to be brought back for a scan at a later date. - 8 weeks waiting - 1.5 hour drive - 50 minutes waiting time for a prebooked appointment - Sent home within 2 minutes to wait for a call to rebook a scan. - 3.5 hours in total wasted Colossal waste of time and money!

I would like to thank the entire staff at the St Edmunds Hospital, for the most perfect care and compassion I have ever experienced within a hospital setting. Right from my very first appointment to my discharge day, I was greeted with kindness, dignity and felt extremely valued. The professionalism within all the departments is of a very high standard, but most of all I felt I was in very safe hands. The aftercare team telephone call was also really considerate and kind. They addressed any concerns I had and reassured me. If I ,or any member of my family are ever needing to have surgery in the future, I would not hesitate to come here.
