I attended guys hospital last Thursday 20/10/2022. What awful service. the first man could hardly speak english or direct me to where i needed to be. When i eventually got to the surgery admission room. I waiting 6 hours. No one could offer me any guidence or time line. We were all just left to wait in the room. I wated 6 hours. I was hungry, dehydrated and had an awful headache. I hadn't eaten for 23 hours. I had taken the day off of work. I was then told by a nurse that mine and another patients surgery had been cancelled. I broke down in tear. I waited all day, took the day off work, hadn't eaten and now i had to go home knowing I had not received the treatment i need for high grade abnormal cells. The service and communication was so poor. What on earth am I paying national insurance for. I then left and made a call the next day, the lady on the phone had no urgency, she didn't apologise once. She told me she didn't know when i could get booked in. Not one apology on before of the nhs for this awful service. I have emailed 3 times, called 4 times, my partner called. I am in distress, i need this treatment. I hope I am seen soon before this worsens. if you can, avoid the nhs!!
