I was offered an out of hours appointment by 111, my nearest hospital was not open for out of hours appointments so I was sent to Bridgewater surgeries. Bare in mind I did not have much time to get there as the appointment was quite close to the time 111 called me back. I was 4 minutes late to the appointment. I got to the reception and was told to take a seat by the receptionist and there was no other communication from him. I was the only person waiting and a few minutes later i see a patient walking out so I assumed I was next in line ( I did not think it mattered that I was only 4 minutes late as I was waiting anyway). 30 minutes go by in total and the receptionist tells me you’ll be seen shortly. I thanked him and continued waiting patiently. The doctor comes to get me from reception and says “ are you the lady who was late” she then said i was seeing a patient and we can’t always guarantee to see you at the exact time. She told me the receptionist sent her a message saying I was in a hurry. I explained to her that I had not complained about waiting and had little communication with the receptionist. The receptionist seemed to be a phone call for the majority of the time I was waiting . I think it was unprofessional for her to refer to me as the lady that was late. She did not tell me her name or introduce herself. She seemed to have an attitude which made me feel uncomfortable. I did not find this surgery to be very helpful.

The most wonderful Dr called me back and arranged an ambulance for my poorly Dad. He was so kind and supportive. Thank you so much.
