  1. Review titled Speedy and great result

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Thomas Horton - Posted on 14 December 2024

Recently has spinal surgery at Claremont Hospital, Sheffield. Everyone involved where professional and welcoming. My surgeon i very well respected and extremely pleasant to all. (not able to name him but wow thanks) My 7 year old sciatica issue has gone, yes it feels so strange but now to be able to stand and walk pain free is fantastic. The hospital is modern and very clean, plus the food is excellent, Its a private hospital but with "patient choice" I was a NHS patient, my overall experience is 5 star, cannot say anything negative about Claremont of the staff, even got a phone call the day after I got home asking if everything was ok, given advice on how to contact them if I had even the slightest issue. Well done Pioneer and Claremont and a massive thanks for improving my heath and life.

On Tuesday 19th of November I received a telephone call to say that an appointment had been made for me at Peterborough hospital for Sunday 24th of November at 12 noon and I would receive a letter from the hospital confirming this I also received a text from pioneer with details of the date and time of the appointment today Friday 22nd of November as no letter been received I phoned the hospital who knew nothing about it I then called pioneer and was told the appointment had been cancelled because I had had been accessed previously no contact from anyone to inform me of this so I am left with two train tickets that are useless to me Absolutely disgusting service

  3. Review titled Cancelled

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Chris Tansley - Posted on 23 November 2024

The clinic I attended today nerve conductive studies was cancelled. I was not informed I travelled and waited in a waiting room. There was nerve construct conductive studies happening there but by a different clinic who wouldn’t see any patients wouldn’t look up any records and wouldn’t help at all, I’m disappointed is an understatement

  4. Review titled Contact your patients if you cancel appointments

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Chris Tansley - Posted on 23 November 2024

I had an appointment for a Nerve conduction study with Pioneer Heath Care . After travelling to the appointment and sitting there for 30 minutes I was told one of the 2 clinics they were running was cancelled… nobody informed me and the people running the other clinic who also worked for pioneer and the NHS were rude and unhelpful… I’ve been waiting since June 2001 snd now told I have to get a new referral from my GP and go back on a waiting list again! Pioneer Healthcare should have contacted all the people affected when they cancel a clinic and if you have other staff at the same clinic doing the same thing they should help….

  6. Review titled Simply awful - I wish I had been kept on the Nhs list

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 10 July 2024

After Covid delayed my initial Nhs referral, my Neurology case was outsourced to Pioneer. I received initial contact, but it then took them well over a year to book my consultation, which was scheduled last August 2023. The consultant referred me for an Mri scan, which I had in February this year, and said that he would review and then either refer me to the Neurology Surgical team, or would arrange for a follow-up consultation with himself. To date, in July 2024, I have had no contact, despite numerous attempts to get the results of my scan. Apparently, only one person in the office has access to the Neurology files, and they have so far failed to call me back. My results have not been provided to the Nhs or my Gp, so they are unable to help. I have had a good deal of experience using private healthcare, and Pioneer's service is dreadful by comparison. I wish I had opted to remain on the Nhs list, rather than being referred out. I sincerely hope that the Nhs reconsiders using this company in the future.

  7. Review titled Lacking equipment

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 17 June 2024

After waiting 6 years for an appointment - arrived to find they lacked equipment that even high street stores have - and have now to go on another waiting list (which is about 9 months long). The consultant was dismissive and disinterested. I thought that the idea of bring the private sector in was to quicken and improve the service ....

  8. Review titled No communication

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 05 July 2024

Waited 3 years to see a neurologist and agreed to see someone at pioneer, had MRI scans that took weeks to be reported on and several times since I have called pioneer asking for my GP to be sent the report, they say it’ll be done that day , it never is and after 4 weeks GP still hasn’t had a report. I have no faith in my ongoing care

Failed to return my phone message. Eventually wrote to me on plain note paper with no heading , address or contact number asking me to get in contact with them. Impossible to do.
