    Got back to me quickly, very helpful felt reassured ,and knew they would follow up if needed,prescribed the right medication needed,and thorough with there questioning re the problem,

    I had an in depth conversation with the consultant, after giving my details & symptoms she sorted me with appointments with specialist staff in my local area, she also was very helpful & understanding she gave me good practical advice to follow. I certainly felt more positive after I had .spoken to her.l will definitely go through this service again .

    Really poor service I have been calling now for the pass two days and still no one has answered me 😡 no one has called me back I wait on hold for hour and a half at time before I hang up because I'm tired of waiting for a nhs service it's really bad. Now I have been on hold now for 2 hours still waiting for someone to answer Me

    I had conjunctivitis 6 weeks ago and NHS 111 on line was excellent, got me seen and treated in an hour. The condition recurred 3 weeks later, I was advised to see a pharmacist who again advised and sold me the appropriate treatment, within minutes. The conjunctivitis came back yesterday and on the instructions of the pharmacist I called my GP, to be told that they no longer look after eyes. I was given a link to this eye care service, which I used just to be told to phone my local Specsavers branch to organise an appointment. On speaking to them and giving them my full history, I am told that they will arrange an appointment for me to be examined but cannot prescribe treatment, and will have to refer me back to my GP for that. The appointment I have been given is 6 days away! What is the point of this service if it does not give a service? I suspect that by the time I am seen the condition will have cleared up again and I will be back to square one, waiting for it to reoccur and start again. Another, NHS waste of time and resources with no outcome. In the meantime, what am I supposed to do with my infection?

Please note that often the medication for conjunctivitis that maybe recommended by the optometrist beyond self care is an over the counter purchased medication.     2 weeks ago was diagnosed doctors words I believe you have a conjunctival inclusion cyst been putting artificial tears gel 6 times a day not much improvement this morning eye was particularly red rang back was told a optician would ring to look at it under the microscope sometime next week very poor service

    I had something trapped in my eye that I couldn't remove, causing a lot of irritation. Of the two opticians I was referred to, one failed to answer the phone and the other told me that the earliest I could see an optometrist was 3 days, and to go to my nearest NHS urgent treatment centre instead. I thought the point of this service was to reduce the burden on A& E. However I went immediately to the hospital and was quickly seen and treated - thankfully.

    Received a referral for my son for primary vision check, I completed the referral online using the information given. Two weeks later another letter comes to tell me I haven't completed it, so I do another. Here we are another two weeks on and still nothing, I've spent hours on hold with no luck to speak to someone, surely you've got at least one person answering the phones. The referral doesn't even look to have been sent to my selected opticians yet as I've also called them.

    I was told that doctors don’t deal with eye problems anymore and given this number to call. I waited in the queue to then be asked questions about my eye issue and told I would be called back later and given s time frame for the callback. I was called back on and the person I spoke to suggested what might be the problem. Only suggested as how can a proper diagnosis be given over the phone!! He told me I needed drops and ointment and I asked him to send me what I needed to get. He said he would text me the information, however 24hours later and another phone call I’m still waiting because he sent the info to the wrong person!!! How can this service work without a face to face appointment!! It’s beyond me. So frustrating
