Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Joanne - Posted on 01 October 2024
My call was answered by a member of staff with the initials of J o d i e ( it won't let me leave a name ) She was helpful and efficient and resolved my reason for calling. The service as a whole seems very organised with great staff who are wanting to help.

I was able to get an appointment at short notice for a scan on an a hamstring injury. The staff I dealt with were very friendly and knowledgeably, quickly diagnosing the extent of the injury. I would recommend to anyone.

Review titled Disgustingly poor service
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 28 February 2024
Was contacted with an appointment only for it to be cancelled a couple of days later...Was told they would arrange another but to contact them a week later if they hadn't been in touch...That was today...On calling them I was informed that the sonographer was in hospital so no appointment at the moment...Then told there would be none in march either...I asked them to just make an appointment with someone else only to be told they only have one provider...I asked how many other places they had tried and it was confirmed to me that not a single phonecall was made anywhere to arrange an appointment...So it now looks like my operation will be cancelled adding probably several more months to the wait in which time my health will deteriorate further...Asked to speak to a supervisor/manager only to have the misfortune of speaking with someone who had no interest in my physical or mental health who surprisingly had no idea how the referral system now works...She tried blaming my GP for sending the referral to a company in Yorkshire rather than one in the Manchester area....She didn't seem to know that GP referrals go to Care Gateway who then place you with a health service provider...Its poor companies and employees with no interest in patients that are causing waiting list problems on top of everything else that is causing them...It'll probably be because of companies like this that I'll lose a number of years off my life because they're only interested in the money they make and not the state of a patient whether it be physical or mental...So in summary if you hear from Yorkshire Health Solutions your first words should be asking for your referral to be placed with anyone else...It will guarantee you get looked after quicker and better

Review titled Good overall
Rated 4 stars out of 5

I was referred by my doctor for a pelvic ultrasound. Received a text from Yorkshire Health Solutions within two days with a telephone number to contact to arrange an appointment. The phone was answered in a timely manner and the call taker offered me an appointment date in three weeks time. The appointment offered was at a community facility several miles from where I live and I knew from previous experience there was no onsite parking and as I have mobility issues and use a walking aid this is a consideration. I asked if there was anywhere else I could go and was offered one of two other venues within a a one mile drive and with adequate parking. facilities which was good. I was sent a text confirmation with date, time and instructions for the appointment sixteen days later. Two days before the planned appointment I received a text reminder. The appointment venue was a local health centre with large pleasant waiting room. The appointment was on time and only took about ten minutes and I was told that if I didn’t receive my results within seven days from my GP I should contact the practice. Although professional, I felt the stenographer was rather brusque in her manner and did nothing to quell my obvious anxiety at the procedure. However, overall the whole experience from booking to procedure went well. Just nervously waiting on results now.

Review titled Surpassed expectations
Rated 4 stars out of 5
by Julie Moss - Posted on 01 August 2023
I can not fault my experience of Yorkshire Health Solutions. The initial contact, a text message after waiting a couple of weeks after seeing my GP, This was quickly followed by a phone call (within an hour of the text) to arrange an appointment. There was a choice of times and dates to choose from at the closest location. Approx 20 min drive away. My appointment ran to time. I was made to feel comfortable and relaxed throughout the experience. Nothing at all like some of the other reviews here... I`d been quite worried about what to expect but the professionalism shone at all stages.

Review titled Very inhuman service
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Maria Olanrewaju - Posted on 25 May 2023
It was such a shame when I was turned back by the stenographer for been 5 minutes late after driving 7miles to access the service. I tried to explain to the stenographer that there was a queue at the reception and I was asked to take a sit which I did for over 10minutes with full bladder. The receptionist was very pleasant and this has nothing to do with her. All my efforts to explain with a full bladder went on deaf hear.

Review titled Unfriendly staff
Rated 2 stars out of 5

I had an abdominal ultrasound through the nhs and unfortunately I wouldn’t want to go back to the same member of staff again. There was no sort of chat to help me to feel less anxious, no reassurance, no explaining anything at all. I was pretty much ignored when I did speak to the lady doing the scan. Even after telling them I was anxious I was totally ignored. The member of staff kept sighing which I thought was so unprofessional, in the end I asked what was wrong and apparently my diaphragm was in her way. Not really a reason to keep sighing in someone’s face when you’ve chosen to look at peoples organs for a living. If I had to have another scan I’d ask for a different member of staff

Review titled Shocking practise
Rated 1 star out of 5

After waiting months and unable to walk due to the length of time waiting for an ultra sound they cancelled my appointment for today. The txt message you receive is an indicator that they will do this. Are they still being paid £220 per cancelled scan then getting another £220 when you finally get seen. Looking into this and asking questions. Not acceptable practise

Review titled ultrasound & transvaginal scan - at the dentist
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 15 February 2023
I had an NHS appointment for an ultrasound & transvaginal scan carried out by Yorkshire Health Solutions. This took place at a small dental practice in West Yorkshire. The ultrasound patients & the dental patients had the same small waiting area which consisted of about 7 or 8 chairs & quickly filled up. There was 1 toilet which was not great given that for some of the ultrasounds you have to attend with a full bladder & to get to it you have to walk through the small waiting area. Also, whilst in the waiting room you could hear conversations in the ultrasound rooms - this is deeply concerning to me given the intimate nature of the scans I had & the conversations had. The nurses were pleasant but not exactly welcoming & friendly or reassuring - it was all very matter of fact, no introductions, no small talk. The room was quite small & when it came to undressing/redressing there wasn't much privacy or dignity. I was not given anything to wipe the lubricant off after the internal scan. It seemed much quicker than previous internals. No information was given which isn't helpful when you are sick with worry. I was referred by my GP & was contacted by Yorkshire Health Service to arrange an appointment which was booked for 4 days later- this part of the process was very smooth. The location really wasn't great & I will request an alternative if I need to repeat the scans in the future.

Fabulous customer service from member of staff.Very short wait on the phone and booked in for a scan within a few days.
