  1. Review titled The Monty Python cheese shop sketch!

by Anonymous - Posted on 26 January 2024

The Well-being service advertises itself as offering talking therapies . The posters suggest that these are freely in offer. This is a total lie. They are “on offer “ in the sense that there are months of hurdles, being grilled about the reasons for wanting one to one, and every attempt being made to deflect your one to one request somewhere, anywhere else. It’s the Monty Pythons cheese shop sketch! If you happen to be in contact with another service for anything at all which might have one to one however unsuitable they seize on that. What do they offer? You are contacted and given the third degree about wanting one to one -surprising as the posters suggest this is on offer. The assessor then says the groups are compulsory and that “people who do them often don’t want one to one” So. They offer compulsory general CBT groups after which you are grilled again to justify wanting to be referred on for one to one therapy . If you get through this there is a 8 month waiting list. So the whole process could take a year plus . With a lot of distressing being made to argue and justify wanting such a bizarre thing. As I did not want the groups I was told they couldn’t help me, but that I could seek private therapy! What NHS service does this? This is incredibly poor service and dishonest advertising .

  2. Review titled Do not take data protection seriously

by Anonymous - Posted on 03 November 2023

I have been dropping off stool samples here for the past couple of years and every time I do I am alsways shocked to be told just to walk into a room and place it into a basket - along with everyone else’s samples. All the samples have the patients name on their pots and some of them even have a letter inside the bag with their home address. I am really concerned that there is a blatant lack of regard when it comes to GDPR. Anyone can just walk in and enter the unattended room and take photos of peoples details of even just take them. I always just stroll in unchallenged and close the door behind me. No one seems to care…

  3. Review titled Negative Experience

Rated 1 star out of 5

I feel worse after the assessment with a member of the team. After going into great length about my mental health and life circumstances, all I was offered was the name and number of a law center. To me it seems like the appointment was a waste of time and energy, and I feel discarded all over again. I wish I had never contacted them. When I tell my GP and specialist this, I hope they will finally start to recognize how this service can be counterproductive, especially since this is not the first or second time they have failed to live up to (their) standards.

  4. Review titled Worst experience I've had with a mental health service.

Rated 1 star out of 5

I called to ask about my plan and steps I should take moving forward. They have all my details on record. 1.i was given a service that is not even fo my age group which made me feel worse as I had to call back and tell them, it felt as though they weren't even listening in the first place. 2.i called and spoke to someone who was very rude, I told this man I feel suicidal and I need someone to talk to now and his response was 'well there's no one to talk to now' in a very blunt tone, this made me feel so more worthless...I asked again with all the little strength left in me, after the third time he finally recommended a line and I asked why he didn't say that before , he ignored me and said here is the number, I paused and asked "do you know your dealing with people's life in your hand" and he said yes I know. I expressed how little he just made me feel with my voice breaking and he remained silent and said. "Here's the number" I was very taken a back and asked if he had anything to say...an apology maybe.. He paused for a few seconds and said "sorry you feel that way here's the number" In a very passive aggressive tone, it felt forced and he did not mean it nor bother to act like he meant it. Remind you I just voiced how suicidal I feel and I'm trying to push. I have spoken to a lot of different people in regards to my mental health and no one has made me feel this way until this interaction . After this phone call I cried for about 3 hours straight contemplating my life and if I should be here. That is now how a crisis line should make you feel. My family and friends had to act very fast to protect me from hurting myself, through prayer and love. I'm lucky I have that...but I wonder if it was someone else who doesn't have the luxury of support outside of the crisis team what would have they done?

  5. Review titled Did not make an effort to listen

    by unhgf54 - Posted on 02 December 2022

Medical review with TRST. The doctor I met was very rude and said that they were not there to listen to me. People who think this way shouldn't be working with vulnerable people. Refused to do the medical review as they had had to repeat three times the same thing. I felt that they found it difficult dealing with a non-English speaker. They did not need to repeat the same thing, they had misunderstood me and refused to make any effort to listen. The medical review was ended before it started and then I heard the doctor make comments about me in the corridor - no confidentiality - to two colleagues.
