40 minutes wait to have prescription checked by pharmacist, who was chatting . 8 others waiting for prescription to be checked. 2 staff members having chat about bingo!!! Prescriptions are never ready although sent from surgery a week ago. Appalling service.

Every month when I go in to collect my prescription I just can’t believe how chaotic this chemist is. There’s always a long queue to be seen at the counter and more than an handful of people waiting in the shop for prescriptions to be made up. I order my prescription a week in advance and I think in the last 6 months it’s only been ready to collect once. An average visit is taking over 30mins! Also a few times the card machine hasn’t been working and the pharmacists haven’t been there at 9am meaning prescriptions can’t be issued at all until they are on the premises. I really dread collecting my prescription every month.

Prescription never ready despite having a week's notice. Always a long queue. Just awful service. Speed and efficiency not their priority. Being closed on Saturday is not helping matters.

Today I rang Bilton chemist firstly 57 times …. No answer. Left it an hour tried again this time I tried 45 times , no reply. I went to the chemist to order my prescription, I showed the counter lady my calls, she was very pleasant , saying how busy they are. Then this arrogant Pharmacist came round raising his voice , speaking to me as if I’m stupid, In the end he said to me ..’ if I’m Not happy with the chemist, then change’. I’ve been with this chemist for 15 years. It is now a dreadful place, service is extremely slow, always blaming shortest of staff etc.

Chaotic dispensing service, often misplacing prescriptions, have stopped having scripts sent there as they can't find them on their system, and I can when physically handing them over and waited for them, they still misplace them. Last time I went in they gave me antibiotics that I had already collected 3 days earlier. Completely incompetent.

Trying my best to never go here again, my whole family have had to leave recently - choosing to take our prescriptions elsewhere. Staff seem to be absolutely clueless and medications are never in stock (whether prescription or over-the-counter). Told prescription will be available next morning… go in and it’s not there… repeat day after day after day for a good week before getting medication. Made me pay straight away so it was too late to go somewhere else. When they do have something you have to stand around for ages whilst the staff seem to have a chat. The shop itself is a right mess, dirty and untidy with stock all over the floor, clearly not enough staff to sort the place out who know what they’re doing. A terrible business for a lovely town and disappointing for a lot of locals who rely on this place for important medication.

Contrary to other reviews, I found the staff at this pharmacy to be very friendly and polite and the service very efficient. I took my prescription in this morning, was asked if I'd like to wait or come back in 10-15 minutes. I chose to come back and it was ready for me to collect when I returned.

Since Avicenna took over I have found their customer service has declined. They never have my tablets and are always behind with prescriptions. 5 to 7 days quite normal to wait. I have now changed my preferred chemist to another a bus ride away rather than deal with their rudeness.

the most chaotic trip to pick up a prescription….. which in the end turned out to be wrong and I had to endure a 2nd visit to correct it. The staff where bickering amongst themselves, there was literally no order. I waiting nearly half an hour to get the wrong dose of the prescription! Awful
