I have been a patient of bridge cottage pharmacy for 20 years. All the staff are very good and helpful. I had my latest covid vaccination the other day. The pharmacists and staff who administer the injections are totally professional.

My son visited this surgery for his fourth Covid19 vaccination on Tuesday 11th October - he received a letter, inviting him to book an appointment online. We were very impressed with the format of the letter, as it was acknowledging that he has a Learning Disability and had directions on how to book his appointment by using pictures, symbols and directions that he could understand. The whole booking experience was very positive. On the day of his appointment, as his Carer, I accompanied him to the Practice but, did not go into the room with him as he wanted to be independent, and go in by himself. However, I was soon called into the room as he was being asked why he was eligible for the Vaccine. I explained that he is Autistic with Moderate Learning Disabilities - we were asked to elaborate - I stated that the Patient had received an invitation letter to receive his Top-up Vaccination. We were asked if he had the letter with him and, when we said he didn't, we were then asked, in what capacity, he qualified for the Vaccine.I explained that my son also works in an environment with Vulnerable People. Only then, he was vaccinated. The letter that my son received, stated that he qualified for the Vaccine because he is a Vulnerable Adult and this was questioned more than once. Do Staff not look at Patients Records, before calling them in to be seen. The member of Staff that was administering the Vaccines, acted in a totally unprofessional manner and showed no empathy towards my son. We both left the Practice, feeling uncomfortable and humiliated.

My husband and I had our Covid booster and flu jabs. It was well organised and efficient. The lady who did our jabs was lovely and friendly and had a wonderful smile. Thank you for a great experience.

Whenever I need to use the pharmacy for my prescriptions they have always provided an excellent and very efficient service without any issues or problems. The counter staff are always prepared to provide guidance and assistance when asked in a very helpful and useful manner. No hesitation in recommending this pharmacy

I pooped into the pharmacy because I had booked a covid booster jab for 5th October 2022. As I was going on holiday on 20th September only 3 days away L asked if it was possible to get a vaccine before I went away as I caught covid on the plane last year. She looked up my details and said yes it was possible and did it straight away for me. Much to my relief. Thank you Bridge cottage pharmacy.

After many years of increasing frustration and irritation, I have now transferred my pharmacy option to Lloyds Pharmacy across the road, who always provide an excellent service . We have lived in Welwyn and used this GP practice since 1986. I do understand that thie pharmacy is not run by the surgery but I strongly feel that the current providers should not be given this valuable space within the premises and the area could be utilised far more usefully or the provider changed asap. I cannot recall a single occasion when the collection of either my own or my husband's repeat prescriptions has gone smootly- they either deny receiving the electronic requests from the surgery or can't locate the bag amongst the appalling chaos of stacked up items, or don't provide the correct tablets or have a shortfall....I could go on....on one occasion we even had a Sunday home delivery we hadn't asked for, AFTER we had collected the tablets, with an issue date on the label before the one we had collected! The recent 'refurbishment' seems to have doubled the issues and my husband (who is elderly and frail after a stroke) and I are so tired of arguing with them every single time and being asked to wait ages or come back the next day, that we have finally given up.

Since taking over the Pharmacy over two years ago, we have made several changes to the Pharmacy to improve the operations of the Pharmacy. We have done this to make the patient journey smoother with respect to obtaining their medicines. Unfortunately, we have fallen short with respect to the service that you have received.
